BentoML Secures $9 Million in Seed Funding to Empower Developers in AI Application Development

Firm is well-positioned to enhance its framework and broaden its reach within the AI development community

San Francisco-based AI development framework, BentoML, has successfully raised $9 million in a seed financing round aimed at addressing the challenges developers encounter when building AI-powered applications.

Leading the funding round is DCM Ventures, with participation from Bow Capital. Hurst Lin, General Partner at DCM Ventures, has also joined BentoML's board, further solidifying the company's growth trajectory.

The primary goal of BentoML is to simplify the development process of AI services by offering a high-level API that abstracts away the intricate infrastructure details required for running AI models on the cloud. By doing so, BentoML enables developers to focus on the core functionality of their applications, while the framework takes care of the underlying complexities. BentoML is an all-encompassing AI application framework meticulously designed to facilitate the seamless building, shipping, and scaling of AI applications. It caters to data scientists, DevOps engineers, and developers involved in model training, lifecycle management, and application development.

According to Chaoyu Yang, Founder and CEO of BentoML, the framework has the power to transform AI applications into production-ready systems in as little as two days, significantly reducing the time and effort required for deployment. Notably, BentoML has been instrumental in scaling and optimizing renowned applications such as Microsoft's Visual ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion (an art generator), and various open-source large language models (LLMs) deployed on the cloud.

By empowering developers and streamlining the complexities of AI application development, BentoML is poised to revolutionize the landscape, enabling accelerated innovation and fostering the widespread adoption of AI-powered solutions.
