Bilder, a London-based fintech platform, has integrated xpate's payment infrastructure to give its customers faster, more flexible access to their funds. The move allows Bilder users to top up accounts online using payment cards, with the functionality available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and accessible to users globally.
xpate is an all-in-one payment and banking platform built for digital businesses. Rather than asking companies to build complex payment capabilities from scratch, it provides ready-made infrastructure that fintech platforms can plug into their existing systems. For Bilder, which serves individuals and businesses that often find themselves underserved by traditional banks, this kind of always-on access to funds matters.
"At Bilder, we focus on making financial services simpler and more accessible. xpate helps us do exactly that," said Dmitry Kuvshinov, Executive Officer at Bilder.
Many traditional banking systems were not built for the speed or flexibility that modern users expect. Transfers can be slow, access is often limited to business hours, and cross-border payments carry extra friction. Fintech platforms emerged largely to address these gaps, but building that infrastructure independently is expensive and time-consuming.
That's where infrastructure partnerships like this one come in. Instead of reinventing the wheel, companies like Bilder connect to established systems that already handle the hard parts. Real-time card top-ups, multi-currency accounts, and 24/7 availability become possible without the operational overhead of building and maintaining it all internally.
This is increasingly common in fintech. Companies are putting together modular ecosystems, selecting specialist providers for different functions rather than trying to own the entire stack. xpate positions itself as one of those infrastructure layers.
In practical terms, Bilder customers can now fund their accounts instantly using a payment card. The process works online, around the clock, with no geographic restrictions. For someone living outside the UK who holds a Bilder account, or for a business that needs to move money across borders quickly, this removes a common point of friction.
xpate combines payment processing and multi-currency account management in a single system. That means Bilder does not need to connect to multiple separate providers to achieve what xpate delivers on its own. It simplifies the technical side, and ideally, customers feel that simplicity too.
"Building modern financial services is about strong partnerships that solve real operational challenges," said Katia Puchkova, Chief Operating Officer at xpate. "Our goal is to support fintech companies like Bilder with the technology that allows their customers to fund accounts quickly and reliably, wherever they are operating and without adding complexity to their operations," Puchkova continued.
The integration is still at an early stage. That said, Bilder has already reported improvements in operational efficiency since implementation. Faster account funding is expected to support increased activity on the platform over time.
For xpate, Bilder represents one example of its broader focus on fintech clients across the UK and Europe. The company's model depends on being a reliable layer inside other people's products. The more fintech platforms adopt this approach, the more visible xpate's role in the sector becomes.
Whether this kind of infrastructure partnership leads to measurable improvements in financial inclusion remains to be seen. What is clear is that the expectation of real-time, borderless access to money is now standard, and platforms that cannot meet it are at a disadvantage.
