Fixie, a Cloud-Based Solution, Secures $17 Million

Fixie’s recent success - Fixie Developer Preview and a successfully closed funding round

Fixie, a cloud-based software platform that utilizes large language models to build applications, successfully secured $17 million in funding. The funding will enable further development of the platform's AI capabilities and provide the necessary resources to power it. Redpoint was the primary investor in the funding round that raised $17 million for Fixie, with participation from other prominent venture capital firms such as Madrona Venture Group, Zetta Venture Partners, SignalFire, Bloomberg Beta, and Kearny Jackson. The funding round was also supported by several angel investors who were former or current executives of major companies such as Google, Amazon, and Apple.

Additionally, Fixie has revealed the introduction of the Fixie Developer Preview, which allows individuals to incorporate large language models (LLMs) into their tools, data, and applications. With this new capability, anyone can integrate the technology from the Fixie platform into their own applications.

“Existing LLMs are incredibly powerful and are only going to get more advanced, but the true magic comes from combining them with internal data and systems to dramatically improve the way businesses operate. That’s precisely what Fixie delivers. With a world-class product, engineering, and AI experts at its helm, Fixie brings to life the promise of generative AI for companies in a way that’s never been possible before,”

- comments the managing director of Redpoint, Erica Brescia

Founded by experienced engineering and product leaders who have worked at companies such as Google, Shopify, and Apple, Fixie is a versatile platform that companies can use for a variety of purposes, such as automating business processes, developing content, assisting customers, and integrating business intelligence. With its built-in library of agents, the platform supports access to a wide range of systems and tools, including databases, complex APIs, productivity tools, and public data sources, such as Twitter. With Fixie, customers can automate support ticket handling, develop custom chatbots that can access multiple data sources, and incorporate generative AI into their applicant tracking systems.

“People often wonder how Fixie compares to ChatGPT Plugins. We’re a big fan of Plugins, and Fixie supports them in both directions: You can build a Fixie Agent that calls out to a ChatGPT Plugin, or build a ChatGPT Plugin that calls into a Fixie Agent! The big difference is that Fixie is about enabling enterprises to integrate LLMs into their own processes, data, and tools — rather than interfacing ChatGPT to their APIs,”

- outlines Matt Welsh from Fixie in a blog post

With the newly raised $17 million, Fixie can expand its team and extend the reach of its platform. The company intends to recruit individuals for various positions such as engineering, product, and developer relations in Seattle to support its growth.
