Synthflow AI has raised a $20 million Series A round to grow its voice AI platform, aimed at helping businesses automate phone calls at scale. The investment was led by Accel, with follow-on support from Atlantic Labs and Singular, who also backed the company’s seed round in 2024. This brings Synthflow AI’s total funding to $30 million to date.
The fresh capital will be used to scale Synthflow’s reach, particularly into the mid-market and enterprise segments. The company also plans to open a new U.S. office as part of its global growth strategy and to enhance product development for its voice AI agents.
Interest in voice AI is accelerating as the technology becomes more practical and cost-effective for real-world use. With businesses under pressure to deliver faster, more efficient customer service, voice agents are becoming a valuable tool for contact centers and BPOs seeking always-available, reliable support without increasing headcount.
Synthflow AI is positioning itself as a leading provider in this space by removing the traditional barriers to deployment—such as complex setup, large budgets, and lengthy onboarding times.
“Businesses and their customers are becoming increasingly comfortable communicating with AI agents,” said Hakob Astabatsyan, co-founder and CEO of Synthflow AI. “Our mission at Synthflow AI is to make high-quality, low-cost AI voice agents more accessible to improve customer services everywhere.”
The company will use the new funding to deepen its capabilities across customer service, appointment scheduling, inbound lead qualification, and other high-volume workflows. These voice agents are designed to function autonomously, handling both simple and complex tasks while transferring calls to humans when needed.
Synthflow also plans to grow its integration ecosystem, which already includes more than 200 systems—from CRMs to calendar apps and telephony platforms—enabling businesses to go live quickly without costly tech overhauls.
Founded in 2023 by Albert Astabatsyan, Hakob Astabatsyan, and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, Synthflow AI allows companies to create and deploy customizable AI voice agents with no technical skills required. The startup’s platform is white-label ready, offering seamless integration into customer workflows.
Its AI Voice Operating System is designed to sound indistinguishable from a human voice, with ultra-low latency and high reliability. Since its seed round, the company has scaled its R&D and accelerated partnerships with global contact centers and BPO providers.
To date, Synthflow AI has handled over 45 million calls, achieved 99.9% uptime, saved over 5 million hours in contact center time, and improved call response rates by 35% compared to traditional systems.
Accel led the Series A round, recognizing Synthflow AI’s potential in a market projected to reach $168.2 billion globally. Atlantic Labs and Singular, early backers of the company, also participated.
“Voice agents have been improving rapidly and have never been more cost effective to deploy,” said Luca Bocchio, Partner at Accel. “Hakob and the team’s technical expertise and momentum so far have been impressive. We’re delighted to be investing in their vision.”
