German B2B tech startup PartsCloud has secured €5 million in Seed funding, marking a significant step forward in its mission to modernize spare parts management in mechanical engineering. The funding round was led by Newion, alongside MBG and SquareOne, well-established investors in the tech and industrial sectors.
While the company has not disclosed its valuation, this latest investment brings PartsCloud’s total funding to €7.5 million, highlighting investor confidence in its potential to reshape logistics in the mechanical engineering industry.
Spare parts management has long been plagued by inefficiencies. Many businesses still rely on outdated Excel spreadsheets and manual processes, leading to overstocking, stock shortages, and unnecessary storage costs. According to industry data, up to 80% of spare parts in factory warehouses are never used, a costly problem that affects both operational efficiency and financial performance.
The newly acquired funding will enable PartsCloud to enhance its AI-powered inventory planning software, which already boasts a 30% lower error rate compared to traditional systems. Additionally, the investment will drive international expansion, with a focus on entering the Asian market.
By refining its predictive analytics and automation tools, PartsCloud aims to help companies reduce inventory errors, lower costs, and streamline global fulfillment operations. Its plug-and-play ERP integration allows seamless adoption without requiring extensive IT resources, making it accessible for businesses of all sizes.
Founded in 2021 by Benjamin Reichenecker and Fabian Gemmecke, PartsCloud was created to address logistical inefficiencies in mechanical engineering. Reichenecker, an industrial engineer, leveraged his experience in mid-sized manufacturing firms to develop a solution tailored to real industry needs.
PartsCloud operates as an all-in-one platform, handling inventory planning, logistics, and customs processing. Unlike fragmented solutions, its end-to-end approach allows businesses to centralize their spare parts management without the need for multiple software providers.
The company’s leadership team believes that digital transformation in logistics is no longer optional. Fabian Gemmecke, COO of PartsCloud, describes their platform as a “worry-free package” that eliminates inefficiencies and enhances global spare parts availability.
The funding round was led by Newion, an Amsterdam-based venture capital firm specializing in early-stage software startups. Newion has a strong track record of backing high-growth companies, with previous investments in Collibra, Deliverect, and Parloa.
Other investors include MBG, a German investment group focused on supporting SMEs, and SquareOne, which has a history of investing in B2B technology startups.
With this latest round, PartsCloud is well-positioned to accelerate its product innovation and market expansion, bringing data-driven efficiencies to an industry still heavily reliant on manual processes.
