ARO Network has successfully raised $2.1 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate the development of its decentralized edge cloud, designed specifically for peer-to-peer content delivery and AI compute. The funding round was led by NoLimit Holdings and Dispersion Capital, with additional participation from Escape Velocity, Maelstrom, and strategic angel investors.
ARO Network is advancing a decentralized edge cloud that leverages idle internet bandwidth and computing resources to create a peer-to-peer content delivery network (PCDN). This model ensures faster delivery, reduced latency, and lower operational costs by utilizing global participant-driven infrastructure, rather than traditional data centers.
The technology powering ARO Network has already demonstrated significant success in real-world applications. A previous project using a similar architecture scaled to over 1.5 million active nodes, generating more than $140 million in annual revenue across emerging markets, where low latency is essential. This past success showcases the potential for decentralized edge infrastructure, both in terms of scalability and business viability.
ARO Network aims to build upon this foundation, creating an edge cloud that doesn’t just address gaps in underserved regions but also challenges traditional content delivery networks (CDNs) in mature markets. The network's design incorporates crypto-native incentives and community participation, ensuring a decentralized model that benefits both Web2 and Web3 users globally.
“We are redefining who owns the internet—not just optimizing cost and latency,” said Adam Farhat, Head of Marketing at ARO Network. “This funding proves decentralized infrastructure isn’t theory—it’s working, and it pays. We are scaling an enterprise-grade P2P CDN built for the Open Internet.”
With the increasing demand for faster, more efficient content and AI delivery, ARO Network is uniquely positioned to take advantage of current trends in decentralized computing. As enterprises look for ways to reduce costs and improve performance, ARO’s decentralized edge cloud offers a promising solution. Patrick, Managing Partner at Dispersion Capital, explains, "CDN is the Trojan horse to decentralized edge compute. ARO brings the tech, timing, and execution."
Malcolm, General Partner at NoLimit Holdings, added, "ARO reduces latency and server load, delivering lower operating costs to both Web2 and Web3 enterprises."
The $2.1M raised will support the development of ARO’s testnet, expand the hardware and software node deployments, and launch the Pioneers Program to onboard early network participants. This funding will also be used to scale the infrastructure for emerging markets, which have high demand for faster and more cost-effective content delivery.
ARO Network is working on integrating with major ecosystems such as EigenLayer, Base, and IoTex, as well as other modular networks to create infrastructure-native yield opportunities. The focus remains on delivering real utility across both Web2 and Web3 sectors, particularly in high-growth regions where latency is a critical factor.
“Legacy CDNs struggle to achieve dense edge coverage in SEA and LATAM,” said Salvador Gala, Co-Founder of Escape Velocity. “ARO Network is rewriting the rules of the internet.”
ARO Network is activating its early community through the Aronaut Pioneers Program, encouraging participants to run ARO hardware (ARO Pod) or software (ARO Client) to help scale the network. By sharing idle resources, these early contributors not only earn rewards but also provide valuable feedback to help improve the platform.
The PreviewNet is already live, allowing early contributors to test the network and earn rewards, including Jade, as part of a limited-time referral sprint. The program offers top contributors a chance to win part of a $30,000 reward pool, with exclusive perks and recognition for those who make the biggest impact.
ARO Network is a decentralized edge cloud platform that turns idle internet resources into a low-latency infrastructure layer for peer-to-peer content delivery and AI-ready compute. The platform combines Web2-grade reliability with Web3-native scalability and incentives, aiming to build the physical infrastructure layer for the open internet. Focused on speed, ownership, and long-term utility, ARO’s technology is designed to meet the needs of both traditional enterprises and the emerging Web3 ecosystem.
