London-based CRM startup Attio has raised $52 million in Series B funding to scale its AI-native platform built for modern go-to-market (GTM) teams. The round was led by GV (Google Ventures), with backing from Redpoint Ventures, Balderton Capital, Point Nine, and 01A. This brings Attio’s total funding to $116 million.
GV’s General Partner Michael McBride, former CRO of GitLab, will join Attio’s board. “It's been 25 years since the last major platform shift in CRM,” said McBride. “Attio has the AI-native architecture, vision, and rapid customer growth to define the future of CRM and go-to-market software.”
CRM tools have long been a staple of B2B software—but most platforms still rely on outdated foundations. As business processes evolve and AI becomes central to how teams work, legacy CRMs are struggling to keep up.
“CRM is one of the most important categories in B2B, but it's been stuck in the past,” said Nicolas Sharp, CEO and co-founder of Attio. “AI-native CRM needs a completely different foundation — one that allows you to truly understand every customer, take action fast, and gives you the freedom to build the exact go-to-market systems you need at scale.”
Attio is aiming to fix that with a platform built from the ground up for AI. Since launching just two years ago, the company has grown to serve 5,000 paying customers — including fast-growing AI companies like Lovable, Granola, Modal, and Replicate — and expects to quadruple ARR this year.
With the new funding, Attio plans to invest heavily in R&D to scale engineering efforts and ship features faster. Key priorities include expanding its agent collaboration features, fine-tuning granular permissions, and enhancing predictive intelligence.
The company also plans to grow its GTM operations by engaging directly with developers and sales leaders who are building modern CRM workflows. These users demand flexibility and speed — two things Attio says traditional CRMs can’t deliver.
“Today's go-to-market builders expect platforms that they can shape to fit their vision,” said Alexander Christie, CTO and co-founder of Attio. “To truly capture the opportunities AI creates in CRM, it has to be deeply integrated into the architecture of the platform, not just bolted on as an afterthought.”
Attio’s core strength lies in its modular, AI-first architecture. It offers real-time data ingestion across systems, an intelligent workflow engine, and programmable surfaces that allow teams to build custom features inside the CRM itself. Its App SDK (now in beta) enables users to deploy new capabilities without waiting for vendor releases.
Additional building blocks—like agent collaboration and advanced permissions—are in development, giving teams more control over how data and automation are managed across teams.
These capabilities are helping users streamline complex workflows and unify fragmented tool stacks under one customizable platform.
Founded in 2020 by Nicolas Sharp and Alexander Christie, Attio emerged from stealth with the goal of rethinking CRM for the AI-native generation. Unlike traditional platforms, Attio is built to be flexible, developer-friendly, and deeply integrated with AI from the start.
Its appeal has quickly grown among startups and tech-first teams who want to build GTM systems tailored to their unique needs. The company is headquartered in London and continues to scale across both product and go-to-market teams.
In addition to GV, Attio’s Series B includes support from returning investors Redpoint Ventures, Balderton Capital, Point Nine, and 01A.
The company’s investor roster represents some of the most active and respected backers in SaaS and developer tools. Previous rounds have supported the rapid development of Attio’s platform and helped grow its user base across industries.
