Online safety company Aura has closed a $140 million Series G funding round, combining equity and debt, to scale its AI-powered platform. The round was led by Ten Eleven Ventures and Madrone Capital, with new investor AT&T Ventures joining existing backers Accel, Warburg Pincus, and General Catalyst.
This marks Aura’s first raise since its tax-free spinoff from Pango Group in May 2024. The funding values Aura at $1.6 billion—up from the previous combined $2.5 billion valuation shared with Pango. Based on recent developments, the implied joint valuation of Aura and now-renamed Point Wild stands at $3.3 billion.
As digital threats grow more complex, Aura positions itself as a comprehensive online safety solution tailored to the needs of families. Its platform uses artificial intelligence to offer personalized protection—combining device security, scam and fraud detection, child safety alerts for cyberbullying and predators, and identity theft monitoring.
"We are seeing tremendous momentum in the business and today's funding announcement will enable Aura to extend our leadership in AI-powered features that not only keep families safe but help them thrive in an increasingly connected world," said Hari Ravichandran, founder and CEO of Aura.
According to the company, Aura experienced approximately 50% GAAP revenue growth year-over-year in 2024, driven by demand for its all-in-one security suite.
The fresh funding will go toward expanding Aura’s AI capabilities, with a roadmap focused on more intelligent features designed to reduce friction for families navigating online risks. The company says new features will become available later this year.
This raise will also support continued product innovation, talent acquisition, and efforts to deepen Aura’s presence in the consumer online safety market. The team aims to make safety not only accessible but also automated for every household member.
Aura was founded to simplify digital protection for families by integrating multiple layers of security into a single, user-friendly platform. Whether safeguarding children, aging parents, or personal data, the platform emphasizes ease of use, AI-powered automation, and real-time alerts.
Customers rely on Aura to detect and prevent emerging threats before they escalate—enabling proactive protection without constant manual oversight. The company has steadily grown into one of the fastest-scaling players in the online safety space.
The Series G round continues the support of notable firms including Accel, Warburg Pincus, and General Catalyst—investors who have backed Aura through previous stages of growth. New investor AT&T Ventures brings added strategic alignment in digital infrastructure and security.
"Aura's innovative and comprehensive approach to online digital health and safety clearly positions it as a leader in protecting families in our increasingly connected world,” said Alex Doll, Founder and General Partner at Ten Eleven Ventures.
