Lightrun, a developer observability company, has secured $70 million in Series B funding. The round was co-led by Accel and Insight Partners, with additional participation from Citi, Glilot Capital, GTM Capital, and Sorenson Capital. This latest raise brings Lightrun’s total funding to $110 million.
The fresh capital strengthens Lightrun’s expansion plans, particularly within the financial sector, where it already partners with some of the world's largest F10 banks.
As software systems grow increasingly complex, enterprises are prioritizing speed, efficiency, and reliability. Lightrun addresses this need with its AI-powered Autonomous Remediation Platform, which enables real-time detection, diagnosis, and resolution of production issues — reducing resolution times from days to minutes.
"In 2024, dramatic shifts in the SDLC — from the exponential acceleration of software delivery by AI Code Assistants to the rising importance of resiliency — have made the SDLC increasingly vulnerable," said Ilan Peleg, CEO of Lightrun. "Lightrun bridges this gap, ensuring that once code hits production, teams can move fast and stay reliable."
By shifting from traditional observability to proactive remediation, Lightrun is filling a crucial gap for engineering teams tasked with maintaining operational stability in an always-on digital world.
With its new funding, Lightrun plans to accelerate product development, strengthen its AI capabilities, and expand its enterprise footprint. The company aims to deepen its presence in financial services and other highly regulated industries where resilience and uptime are critical.
Lightrun’s roadmap includes further advancing its Autonomous Debugger, enabling organizations to resolve incidents automatically before they impact users. The company also plans to invest in scaling its global team and expanding partnerships to meet rising demand for real-time remediation technologies.
Founded in 2019 by Ilan Peleg and Leonid Blouvshtein, Lightrun offers a platform that empowers developers and SREs to address production issues directly from within their IDEs. Unlike traditional observability tools that simply monitor and alert, Lightrun closes the loop by enabling live debugging and remediation.
The company's technology correlates runtime issues with specific code pathways, allowing developers to inject logs, metrics, and traces without redeployment. Its approach reduces Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and proactively suggests code fixes, keeping systems resilient and minimizing downtime.
Recognized as a G2 Leader in Monitoring and Observability for three consecutive quarters and named to Fast Company’s 2025 list of The World’s Most Innovative Companies, Lightrun serves enterprise customers like Citi, Salesforce, Microsoft, and SAP.
Lightrun’s investor base includes notable names such as Accel, Insight Partners, Citi, Glilot Capital, GTM Capital, and Sorenson Capital.
Andrei Brasoveanu, Partner at Accel, commented, “In 2024, dramatic shifts in the SDLC — from the exponential acceleration of software delivery by AI Code Assistants to the rising importance of resiliency — have made the SDLC increasingly vulnerable. Lightrun bridges this gap, ensuring that once code hits production, teams can move fast and stay reliable. As autonomous software development becomes reality, we see the next frontier in autonomous remediation — software that can fix itself autonomously.”
Teddie Wardi, Managing Director at Insight Partners, added, “As production incidents become more frequent and costly, Lightrun is delivering what enterprises need now: a proactive, scalable solution that keeps systems reliable and teams focused.”
Siris Singh, Global Head of Markets Strategic Investments at Citi, also noted the transformational potential of Lightrun’s technology, emphasizing Citi’s enthusiasm for being part of the journey.
