Belgium-based ADLC has raised €2.08 million in seed funding, a major step in its mission to revolutionize logistics in maritime and offshore industries. The investment was led by Galactic Beacon Ventures (GBV), the venture capital arm of the Columbia Group, with participation from LRM, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and NXT II. Financial advisory support came from PwC – Next Level, while Van Olmen & Wynant acted as legal advisors.
GBV’s Chief Investment Officer, Kyriakos Vlachos, highlighted the growing adoption of drone logistics, citing advancements in technology and regulatory frameworks as key drivers of change. He pointed to ADLC’s work at the Port of Antwerp as a proven model for drone-powered industrial logistics.
ADLC plans to use the fresh funding to expand its international presence, deploying drone-based logistics services at key ports and offshore energy sites worldwide. According to Co-Founder and CEO Rayan Quintaes, ADLC is committed to making industrial drone logistics as reliable and commonplace as traditional transport methods.
The company’s technology is already proving its worth, with active drone delivery operations at the Port of Antwerp in collaboration with SGS, a leading testing and certification company. Clients like BASF have seen significant gains in efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability through drone-based logistics.
ADLC’s drones optimize last-mile delivery, particularly in maritime and offshore sectors, where traditional logistics methods are often slow and costly. The company reports that its drone deliveries have increased efficiency by six times while achieving up to 80% reductions in CO2 emissions for petrochemical sample transport. With the growing global push toward sustainable and efficient logistics, ADLC’s model presents a scalable, cost-effective alternative for industries looking to reduce their carbon footprint while improving operational performance. As it continues to expand, ADLC is positioning itself at the forefront of drone-powered logistics innovation.
