Clarium, the AI company behind the first end-to-end healthcare supply chain resiliency platform, has raised $27 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Northzone, with continued support from General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Ventures, and 1984 Ventures. This latest round brings Clarium’s total funding to $43 million.
The investment will support Clarium’s rapid expansion as it partners with major health systems like Yale New Haven Health, Stanford, and Kaiser Permanente to modernize and stabilize their supply chain operations amid increasing global volatility.
U.S. hospitals waste over $25 billion each year on inefficient supply chains. Outdated systems, disconnected data, and unnecessary waste have long plagued the sector. As climate-related disasters, pandemics, and economic uncertainty escalate, the need for resilient, proactive solutions has become more urgent.
Clarium’s platform brings together real-time data from suppliers, hospitals, and vendors to anticipate disruptions—from weather events to geopolitical tensions—and offer smart substitutions before critical stockouts occur. This real-time insight helps hospital systems reduce costs, resolve disruptions faster, and approve substitutes more confidently.
With this funding, Clarium plans to further develop Astra OS, its flagship operating system, by expanding app capabilities, accelerating deployment, and deepening integration with existing hospital infrastructure.
The company will also grow its internal team and establish new partnerships with health systems across the U.S., reinforcing its mission to improve healthcare operations and patient outcomes through better supply chain management.
Founded in 2020 by Steve Liou, Clarium has quickly emerged as a key player in healthtech, working directly with health systems to co-build tools that address real-world pain points. The platform’s results speak for themselves—Clarium claims that hospital systems have saved over $10 million on average, thanks to faster resolution and improved substitution accuracy.
The company’s leadership team includes Burton Bracken (Business Development), Marek Sirendi (AI), Marcelo Fracchia (Growth), and Shivani Stadvec (Marketing). Its technology is now in use across leading institutions including Geisinger, Ochsner Health, Boston Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Sutter Health, and St. Luke’s.
Northzone’s investment marks a vote of confidence in Clarium’s vision. “Clarium is the first comprehensive, end-to-end platform for managing the hospital supply chain,” said Molly Alter, Partner at Northzone. “We believe Clarium possesses the technology and vision to enable end-to-end supply chain management for every one of the 5,000 hospitals nationwide.”
Clarium’s continued partnerships with General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, and Kaiser Permanente Ventures, along with its recent collaboration with the Healthcare Industry Resiliency Collaborative (HIRC), underline its commitment to building scalable, long-term solutions in healthcare logistics.
