COVU, a leading AI-native insurance platform, has expanded its Series A funding to $22 million, bringing its total financing to $32 million. Initially planned as a $4 million extension, overwhelming investor interest resulted in an oversubscribed $10 million round.
The investment was led by Benhamou Global Ventures (BGV), the primary backer of COVU’s original Series A. True Global Ventures (TGV) joined as a new investor, reinforcing confidence in the company's AI-powered insurance solutions. Additionally, COVU has secured access to venture debt financing to further solidify its financial position.
As artificial intelligence reshapes industries, COVU envisions a collaborative future for AI and human expertise in insurance. Rather than replacing agents, AI enhances efficiency while licensed professionals provide critical insight and personalized service.
“We believe the future of insurance is in collaboration between AI and human expertise,” said Ali Safavi, Co-Founder and CEO of COVU. “Insurance is not just about transactions—it’s about trust, protection, and high-quality service.”
COVU’s approach integrates AI-driven automation with human oversight, ensuring policyholders receive smarter, faster service while maintaining the trust and expertise that define the industry.
With rapid 3-4x growth over the past year and AI now resolving one in three customer cases without human intervention, COVU is using the new capital to:
Founded to modernize insurance customer management, COVU blends AI automation with human expertise. The company provides brokers, agencies, and financial institutions with smarter risk advisory services, boosting customer retention and operational efficiency.
Through its AI-native roll-up and marketplace, COVU is creating new opportunities for agencies to leverage AI-powered insights without losing their personalized, expert-driven approach.
Investors are backing COVU’s vision of AI as an enabler, not a replacement, within the insurance sector.
“With the insurance sector undergoing rapid Digital transformation, COVU is at the forefront of leveraging artificial intelligence to augment human expertise rather than replace it,” said Dušan Stojanović, General Partner at True Global Ventures.
“From the start, we believed in COVU’s ability to lead the AI-native revolution in insurance,” added Eric Benhamou, General Partner at BGV. “Their ability to scale AI-driven automation while maintaining a deep commitment to the role of human expertise sets them apart.”
Following its $12.5 million Series A, this latest funding round positions COVU to scale even further. The company is also in the process of securing over $30 million in additional debt financing to expand its platform’s reach.
With AI adoption accelerating across financial and insurance sectors, COVU’s commitment to blending automation with human insight is setting a new industry standard for efficiency, trust, and customer service.
