Trust & Will has secured an additional $4.5 million investment from Curql, further advancing its mission to make estate planning more accessible through credit unions. This funding brings the company’s total Series C round to over $32 million.
Curql, a network of more than 130 credit unions investing in fintech, led this latest commitment. The investment reflects strong support for Trust & Will’s model of offering digital estate planning tools within the financial wellness space.
Trust & Will first partnered with a credit union in 2018. Since then, that relationship has expanded to over 200 credit unions nationwide. With Curql’s backing, Trust & Will is forming a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) — a collaborative structure that allows credit unions to invest directly in fintech companies.
The goal is to embed estate planning into everyday financial services. CUSOs are well recognized within the credit union movement, and this new structure positions Trust & Will as a long-term partner in helping members protect their futures.
"Forming a CUSO isn't just a step forward – it's a signal of deep commitment to the credit union movement." – Nick Evens, President & CEO of Curql.
Curql’s investment aligns with its mission to bring practical fintech tools to credit unions and their members. The organization saw a strong match in Trust & Will’s platform, which has already helped more than one million Americans begin their estate planning journey.
Trust & Will’s services are seen as a natural extension of what credit unions already offer — long-term financial security. For many members, traditional estate planning options feel inaccessible. This partnership aims to change that.
"With Curql's support, we're making it easier than ever for credit union members to secure their legacies and strengthen their financial futures" – Cody Barbo, CEO & Co-Founder of Trust & Will.
The company is also joining the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations (NACUSO) as a Platinum Partner. This membership will give Trust & Will access to key insights, networking opportunities, and strategic partnerships that further embed it within the credit union ecosystem.
This phase of growth ensures estate planning becomes an integrated part of broader financial wellness strategies, especially for community-driven institutions where personalized service is a priority.
