Deel has closed a $300 million Series E round led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and Coatue Management. The funding arrives as the global HR and payroll platform hits major financial milestones, including a $17.3 billion valuation and more than $1 billion in annual recurring revenue.
Additional investors in the round include General Catalyst and Green Bay Ventures, among others. The investment reflects growing confidence in Deel's vision to consolidate global workforce management into a single, borderless platform.
September 2025 marked Deel's third consecutive year of profitability and its first $100 million revenue month. The company now serves over 37,000 businesses and 1.5 million workers across more than 150 countries, processing $22 billion in payroll annually.
The growth comes at a time when companies are rethinking how they manage distributed teams. Traditional payroll systems weren't built for a global workforce, creating friction for businesses trying to scale internationally.
Deel plans to deploy the new capital across three main areas: strategic acquisitions to expand product capabilities, continued buildout of owned payroll systems, and AI innovation. The company aims to deliver native payroll in over 100 countries by 2029.
The AI investment will focus on automation across Deel's HR and payroll suite while attracting specialized talent. The goal is to reduce manual work and speed up processes that traditionally required heavy human intervention.
Alex Bouaziz co-founded Deel and serves as CEO. The company itself operates as a fully remote organization with employees in over 100 countries, giving it firsthand experience with the challenges it's solving for customers.
"We're proud to welcome some of the world's best investors as partners in this next chapter for Deel," said Alex Bouaziz, Co-founder and CEO, Deel. "This round is about doubling down on the global payroll infrastructure we've built from the ground up. We're reimagining how payroll should work for the next century – fluid, real-time, and truly borderless – and continuing our mission to become the single platform where companies can build, manage, and pay their teams anywhere in the world."
Deel's platform consolidates HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits, performance management, and device management into one system. The owned payroll infrastructure spans 150+ countries, allowing businesses to manage different worker types without juggling multiple vendors.
The numbers tell the expansion story. US products including PEO and US payroll grew 1,500%. HR products saw 600% growth, while global payroll increased 450%. Immigration services grew 220% and IT management products jumped 410%.
Product adoption is accelerating too. The number of customers using three or more Deel products increased 480%, while those using four or more products grew 1,200%. Recent enterprise customers include LEGO, Puma, Virgin Media, Klarna, Capgemini, FedEx, Nubank, Palantir, Novo Nordisk, Fidelity, and Pepsi.
"We have been fans of Deel for a long time, it's a brand companies trust and we're excited to invest," said Micky Malka, Founder at Ribbit Capital. "Deel – itself a fully remote, global company with employees in over 100 countries – is uniquely positioned to build products for global expansion. The company and its leadership have a limitless opportunity ahead of them."
Andreessen Horowitz, which first invested in Deel in 2020, returned for this round. "Since our first investment into Deel in 2020, we've been blown away by the Deel team's pursuit of building the best HR platform to offer access to employment opportunities and financial services for the global workforce," said Ben Horowitz, cofounder of Andreessen Horowitz, "Deel's continued progress is a testament to how essential their infrastructure has become to customers everywhere, and we are thrilled to co-lead this latest round."
