DPhi Space, a Swiss startup pioneering shared satellites for hosted payloads, has raised €2.2M in pre-seed funding. The round was led by QBIT Capital, with participation from Zurich Cantonal Bank, Apprecia Capital, Kickfund, and other strategic investors.
This investment provides DPhi Space with the capital needed to launch its first Clustergate platform into orbit and further develop its technology, which aims to simplify and reduce the cost of accessing space.
DPhi Space is addressing a critical challenge in the space industry: lowering the barriers to satellite access. Its flagship platform, Clustergate, aggregates multiple hosted payloads into a standardized container, allowing companies to send payloads to space without building dedicated satellites.
With in-house-developed computing and software integration, Clustergate offers seamless hosting on any spacecraft, along with in-orbit computing, AI processing, and real-time data analytics at the edge.
Aziz Belkhiria, Co-Founder & CEO of DPhi Space, emphasized the startup’s mission: “This funding round brings us closer to our vision of making space more accessible through a shared satellite infrastructure. With Clustergate’s upcoming launch, we’re excited to support multiple commercial customers—whether they’re expanding their constellations or reaching space for the first time.”
The €2.2M funding will allow DPhi Space to expand its engineering team and refine Clustergate’s capabilities ahead of its first deployment. The investment will also support ongoing software development for in-orbit data processing and AI-driven analytics.
Beyond technical advancements, DPhi Space is positioning itself for future collaborations with commercial partners, research institutions, and governmental agencies looking to leverage shared satellite solutions.
QBIT Capital, which led the investment round, expressed confidence in DPhi Space’s vision. General Partner Georges Khneysser stated: "DPhi Space is pioneering a fundamental shift in how businesses access and leverage space infrastructure. We are proud to back the exceptional team’s vision and excited to see Clustergate take flight!"
Additional investors, including Zurich Cantonal Bank, Apprecia Capital, and Kickfund, have provided financial and strategic backing, further validating the potential of DPhi Space’s innovative approach to satellite hosting.
