Dutch Startup Amazec Photonics Secures Seed Funding

Amazec Photonics, a pioneering Dutch medtech startup, has secured a significant €1.5 million in seed funding

Introducing a game-changer in medtech innovation: Amazec Photonics, a dynamic Dutch startup, has secured an impressive €1.5 million in seed funding to propel its groundbreaking diagnostic devices for clinical trials to new heights.

In the world of photonics and medical technology, Amazec Photonics stands out as a pioneering force, leveraging the power of light-driven microchip technology to revolutionize medical diagnosis. With a focus on precision and comfort, Amazec's solution promises to transform the landscape of cardiovascular monitoring.

Traditionally, cardiovascular monitoring methods have been cumbersome, invasive, and often inaccurate. Amazec's breakthrough technology changes the game by offering precision measurements with unparalleled accuracy, down to 0.0001˚C, compared to the current standard of 0.01˚C. Moreover, Amazec's device enables multiple real-time measurements, surpassing the limitations of traditional methods.

CEO Pim Kat highlights the urgent need for such innovation, emphasizing the staggering rise in cardiovascular diseases globally. With Amazec's solution, not only is testing accuracy vastly improved, but the process is also significantly less invasive and more user-friendly, paving the way for widespread testing and improved patient outcomes.

With the seed funding secured, Amazec Photonics is poised to make a significant impact, with plans to build prototypes and conduct extensive clinical trials. The startup aims to begin clinical trials later this year, with a strategic expansion to three other hospitals by 2025 and full-scale production and sale across the EU by 2028.
