EvenUp has closed a $150 million Series E round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, pushing the company's valuation past $2 billion. The funding represents one of the largest investments in legal AI to date and reflects growing confidence in EvenUp's ability to reshape how personal injury law firms operate. Joining Bessemer in the round are REV (the venture arm of RELX, parent company of LexisNexis Legal & Professional), B Capital, SignalFire, Adams Street, Bain Capital, HarbourVest, Lightspeed, and Broadlight Capital.
This marks EvenUp's fourth funding round in just 24 months, bringing total capital raised to $385 million. Each round has been preempted by investors—a strong signal of the market's belief in the company's trajectory. In less than a year, EvenUp's valuation has more than doubled, cementing its position as the category leader in AI for personal injury law.
Personal injury law has long been defined by manual work: reviewing medical records, drafting demand letters, building case narratives. EvenUp's Claims Intelligence Platform changes that dynamic. Powered by its proprietary Piai model, the platform is trained on hundreds of thousands of injury cases and millions of medical records. It doesn't just assist—it drafts, reviews, and strategizes across the entire case lifecycle at a scale no human team could match.
The results speak for themselves. EvenUp has helped resolve more than 200,000 cases, securing over $10 billion in damages for injury victims. Case timelines have been accelerated by the equivalent of thousands of years of earlier resolutions. More than 2,000 firms now rely on the platform, including 20% of the Top 100 U.S. personal injury firms. In the past six months alone, case volume nearly doubled to 10,000 cases per week.
"Legal AI is no longer a side bet; it's becoming the backbone of personal injury law," said Rami Karabibar, CEO and co-founder of EvenUp. "In the last six months alone, case volume on our platform nearly doubled to 10,000 cases per week. Firms are growing revenue without adding staff, while victims secure better results faster. That's the transformation we're driving."
The new funding will accelerate product development and expand EvenUp's reach across North America. The company recently opened a new headquarters in San Francisco and plans to grow its team across the U.S. and Canada. Investment will also flow into refining the platform's AI capabilities and launching new tools that address emerging needs in personal injury practice.
EvenUp's product velocity has been a key driver of its growth. The company's newest AI products, launched earlier this year, now account for nearly 90% of new sales. These tools support the entire case lifecycle, from document generation to surfacing insights that help cases settle faster and achieve better outcomes. Today, the company introduced Mirror Mode, an AI tool that allows firms to replicate their best work across all document-based workflows. By uploading a winning draft, firms can instantly generate tailored versions that mirror its language, style, and structure.
EvenUp was founded in 2019, long before the current wave of AI adoption swept through the legal industry. The company was built on a simple belief: artificial intelligence could transform how personal injury law operates. What sets EvenUp apart is that it was created by three co-founders with direct experience in the field.
CPO Saam Mashhad is a practicing attorney who saw how much case value is lost without the right tools. COO Raymond Mieszaniec experienced the impact of a life-changing accident in his own family, giving him a personal understanding of what's at stake for victims. CEO Rami Karabibar came from mobility startups, including Waymo, where he witnessed the enormous costs and inefficiencies of handling injury claims at scale—and the absence of technology to fix them. Together, they built EvenUp as an AI-first company, grounded in real-world challenges and focused on measurable outcomes.
With ARR doubling year-over-year, EvenUp is establishing itself as the AI platform of choice for modern personal injury law. Firms are growing revenue without adding headcount. Victims are securing better settlements faster. The platform has become essential infrastructure for practices that want to compete at the highest level.
Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with conviction that EvenUp is setting a new standard for legal AI. "EvenUp's vision is to give every personal injury attorney a trusted AI partner, bringing the collective wisdom of hundreds of thousands of cases to every decision," said Sameer Dholakia, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. "Just as word processors became essential, AI will soon be table stakes, and EvenUp will be the gold standard lawyers rely on."
Sean Fitzpatrick, CEO of LexisNexis North America, UK & Ireland, added: "LexisNexis Legal & Professional and REV invest in customer-centric innovators who strive to make it easier for legal professionals to do their work. EvenUp shares our commitment to advancing legal AI innovation that helps professionals achieve better outcomes and drive greater value for their organizations."
Sebastian Duesterhoeft, partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, emphasized the company's staying power: "EvenUp is the clear leader in personal injury AI. Their proprietary data, domain expertise, and real-world results give them staying power—and they're setting a new bar for what legal AI should deliver."
Firms using the platform are reporting measurable impact. "We went from an initial $50,000 offer to a $1.75 million settlement in mediation by using EvenUp's Case Companion to dismantle the defense's arguments in real time," said Kyle Wright, Managing Attorney at Wisehart Wright, Ohio. "But it's not just EvenUp's results – their pace of innovation is unmatched. Every month, they ship something new that meaningfully improves our workflow. That consistency is rare, and it's why EvenUp has become a critical partner for our firm."
Steve Mehr, Founding Partner at Sweet James in California, added: "We scaled past $500M in annual results with 70% YoY growth, all without increasing headcount. EvenUp has been a key partner in that journey."
John K. Zaid, Managing Partner and Founder of John K. Zaid & Associates in Texas, said: "EvenUp has become the backbone of our practice, driving us to operate at a higher level from intake to resolution. Their unmatched pace of innovation makes them more than a tool for today; they're a long-term partner in building the future of personal injury law."
EvenUp is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, B Capital, REV (the venture capital arm of RELX, parent company of LexisNexis), Premji, Lightspeed, Bain Capital Ventures, SignalFire, NFX, DCM, and others. With $385 million in total funding and a valuation over $2 billion, the company is positioned to define the next era of personal injury law.
