FORT Robotics has secured an additional $18.9 million in its Series B round, bringing its total funding to $60.5 million. The latest injection was led by Tiger Global, with participation from both new and existing backers, signaling continued confidence in FORT's role as a key provider of safety and security solutions for intelligent machines.
The round saw support from new investors including Neman Ventures, Mana Ventures, Gaingels, and Ryuu Co. of Japan. Returning investors Prime Movers Lab, Mark Cuban, FundersClub, Creative Ventures, GRIDS Capital, and Ahoy Capital also participated.
FORT is scaling at a time when robotics and physical AI are becoming more embedded across global industries. From agriculture to defense and construction to autonomous vehicles, machines are increasingly operating in complex environments alongside people. That shift is pushing safety technologies to the forefront.
"Robotics and physical AI are quickly transforming every worksite globally," said Samuel Reeves, CEO of FORT Robotics. "As robot fleets grow and work alongside people, the need for robust functional safety becomes even more vital."
FORT plans to use the fresh capital to expand and refine its Robotics Control Platform. Key areas of focus include developing new communication protocols and API integrations, and ensuring expanded compliance with international standards.
Additionally, FORT aims to build out new safety capabilities, including data analytics features that can replace outdated safety methods. The company wants its platform to serve as a central nervous system for intelligent machines operating in high-risk environments.
In line with its expansion, FORT also announced the appointment of three new board members. Kirk D. Brown (SportsMedia Technology), Jorge Heraud (TerraBlaster, formerly Blue River Technology and John Deere), and Benjamin G. Wolff (Palladyne AI, formerly Clearwire) bring extensive experience in tech, automation, and entrepreneurial leadership.
Founded in 2018, FORT Robotics has developed a first-of-its-kind safety platform to help machine builders and users maintain secure and dynamic control of autonomous systems. The company currently supports over 500 customers, with an estimated 12,000 units deployed and 27 patents issued.
FORT's technology is used across a range of industries, including warehousing, agriculture, and factory automation. Its mission: maximize human-machine collaboration while minimizing risk.
This Series B expansion continues strong support from key investors. In addition to Tiger Global, the round attracted backing from returning names like Prime Movers Lab and Mark Cuban, alongside new participants like Shane Neman of Neman Ventures.
"FORT Robotics' commitment to safety for physical AI and intelligent machines directly aligns with our vision for the future of work and advanced automation," said Shane Neman, CIO and General Partner of Neman Ventures. "Their platform is a crucial enabler for the next generation of robotics, including emerging areas like humanoids."
