Cloaked, a New York-based privacy and security company, has closed a $375 million funding round, combining a Series B raise with growth financing through General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. General Catalyst and Liberty City Ventures led the Series B, with additional participation from Lux Capital, Human Capital, Marquee Ventures, Fifth Growth Fund, the NFL Players Association, LG Technology Ventures, Assurant Ventures, DuckDuckGo, and others.
The raise reflects growing investor confidence that privacy infrastructure will be one of the defining categories of the next technology era and that Cloaked is positioned to own it.
The timing of the raise is not accidental. Consumer data has become a commodity traded without most people's knowledge, and AI is accelerating the exposure. Data brokers compile and sell personal information at scale, while phone scams and identity-based fraud continue to grow globally. Cloaked argues that the industry has treated privacy as a feature rather than a foundation, and that this moment demands a different approach.
"We've disguised more than 10 million identities, removed over a billion records from data broker sites, and screened more than 40 million calls and we're just getting started," said Arjun Bhatnagar, co-founder and CEO of Cloaked. "The fight for consumer privacy is at an inflection point with Cloaked building the platform that makes privacy easy to understand, simple to defend, and a mandatory aspect of daily life."
Cloaked offers a comprehensive privacy platform built on three functional pillars. First, virtual identities: users can generate unlimited unique phone numbers, email addresses, and passwords on demand, keeping their real data out of circulation before it is ever exposed. Second, automated data removal: the platform continuously scrubs personal information from data brokers and people-search sites, eliminating accumulated exposure at the source. Third, Call Guard, Cloaked's AI-powered screening product, detects and blocks spam, scam, and fraudulent calls in real time.
The platform is built on a zero-knowledge architecture with end-to-end encryption, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, PCI-DSS compliance, and annual SOC 2 Type II audits. These are not marketing claims but independently verified standards that matter both to individual users and enterprise buyers.
The new capital will be used to scale the company across three fronts: expanding the product roadmap with AI-driven capabilities, growing the team, and extending internationally across both consumer and enterprise segments.
A central piece of the roadmap is a suite of AI-powered personal agents that will act on behalf of users to monitor, manage, and enforce privacy preferences across their entire digital footprint. The goal is to turn what has historically been a manual, reactive process into something automated and continuous.
Cloaked Enterprise, launched late last year, also stands to benefit significantly from this raise. Its Digital Workforce Protection program is built around a specific insight: that the biggest blind spot in corporate cybersecurity is not software vulnerabilities but the personal digital exposure of employees. The program identifies and prioritizes those risks, then deploys the full Cloaked suite to address them in one place. Dedicated sales, deeper integrations, and expanded global compliance infrastructure are all on the roadmap for the enterprise division.
Cloaked was founded by brothers Arjun and Abhijay Bhatnagar, who built the company around the belief that privacy should be a default, not a premium add-on. The platform is accessible via a web interface, browser extension, and mobile app. It has grown more than 10x over the past year and now serves more than 350,000 users.
Beyond its technology, Cloaked is an active participant in policy conversations. The company has partnered with organizations and policymakers to raise public awareness of data risks and push for higher industry standards around how personal information is handled.
"Cloaked is going to continue building what others can't, innovation that's pro-consumer, pro-privacy, and long overdue," said Abhijay Bhatnagar, co-founder and CTO. "Too much of the industry treats privacy as an afterthought while racing to ship AI with no guardrails. We've assembled some of the sharpest, most relentless minds who are proving that it doesn't have to be a tradeoff."
"Cloaked understands the urgency of this moment and continues to scale, build trust, and redefine the future of privacy through artificial intelligence," said Mark Crane, Partner at General Catalyst. "Under Arjun and Abhijay's leadership, the team has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to confront digital threats and bad actors, which is exactly why we've doubled down."
To date, Cloaked has raised more than $400 million in total funding. Investors include General Catalyst, Liberty City Ventures, Human Capital, Lux Capital, Marquee Ventures, Fifth Growth Fund, Next Play Ventures, Index Ventures, Mantis VC, Khosla Ventures, Thiel Capital, ENEA Capital, the NFLPA, LG Technology Ventures, Assurant Ventures, and DuckDuckGo.
