GovEagle, the AI-powered proposal platform designed for government contractors, has raised $2.5 million in funding. The investment was led by Strategic Cyber Ventures and Y Combinator, with additional backing from a group of angel investors.
The funds will drive product development, team expansion, and enhanced AI automation, enabling GovEagle to further streamline the complex process of government bidding and proposal drafting.
Government contractors face lengthy and highly regulated proposal processes, often requiring extensive resources to ensure compliance and competitiveness. For many companies, drafting a single proposal can take up to 60 hours.
GovEagle’s AI platform drastically reduces this time—cutting drafting to as little as 60 minutes—by combining automation with customization tailored to each company’s unique voice, content, and style. The platform balances speed with quality, helping contractors respond faster while staying fully compliant.
“Government contractors are in a perfect storm of increasingly demanding RFPs due in collapsing timelines, making it critical to equip businesses with the right tools to support their enterprise needs,” said Akash Mandavilli, co-founder and CEO of GovEagle.
With this funding, GovEagle will expand its engineering team and accelerate work on its AI automation capabilities, including faster processing of new RFP documents, amendments, and evolving compliance requirements.
The company also plans to strengthen its integrations with tools that contractors already use, including SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Box. This ensures seamless adoption into existing workflows, reducing onboarding friction.
Founded in 2022, GovEagle was created to solve some of the biggest headaches faced by government proposal teams. Co-founder and CEO Akash Mandavilli—together with a team of AI experts and GovCon professionals—built a platform that doesn’t just automate the process but understands the nuances of government compliance and formatting.
The platform helps teams move from RFP release to pink-team draft in hours, not days, while continuously improving proposal quality using feedback loops and evolving document libraries.
GovEagle also prioritizes security and compliance. It operates in FedRAMP High cloud environments, complies with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC controls, and is nearing completion of FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and no customer data is used to train AI models.
In addition to Strategic Cyber Ventures and Y Combinator, GovEagle’s investor group includes angel investors with deep experience in government technology and procurement processes.
“GovEagle's AI for proposal writing offers government contractors an off-the-shelf, proprietary tool that immediately reduces cost, helps win more contracts, and allows them to focus on achieving mission results for their clients,” said Hank Thomas, Managing Partner at Strategic Cyber Ventures.
Since its launch, GovEagle has already supported thousands of proposals across federal, state, and local opportunities, helping contractors secure new contracts faster while staying fully compliant.
