Web3 security company Hypernative has raised $40 million in Series B funding. The round was co-led by cybersecurity-focused investors Ten Eleven Ventures and Ballistic Ventures, with participation from StepStone Group, and existing backers boldstart ventures and IBI Tech Fund.

This fresh capital will help Hypernative expand its capabilities into fraud prevention and wallet-level transaction protection. The aim: to build a more complete, end-to-end security layer for the decentralized internet.

As Web3 Risks Grow, So Does Demand for Real-Time Defense

In 2024 alone, Hypernative identified more than $2.2 billion in Web3-related losses caused by exploits, phishing attacks, and fraud—a 22% increase over the previous year. Incidents like the $1.4 billion Bybit hack have raised fresh concerns across the industry.

Hypernative’s platform uses AI-powered threat detection to act in real time, giving protocols and users the ability to react before damage is done. With integrations now supporting wallets, exchanges, and payment providers, the company is working toward a more unified defense infrastructure for Web3.

“Web3 is at an inflection point: clear regulation is finally emerging, and institutional adoption is accelerating led by stablecoins and tokenized assets. But security remains the biggest blocker to mass adoption—and Hypernative is on a mission to close that gap,” said Gal Sagie, Co-founder and CEO of Hypernative.

Expanding AI Models, Supporting a Growing Team

A large portion of the new funding will go toward improving Hypernative’s AI models with higher-quality training data, supporting even faster and more accurate detection. The company also plans to expand its expert team to offer more hands-on support, threat analysis, and customer service as demand grows.

Additionally, new features are on the horizon—including transaction simulation technology that protects users from blind signing by previewing outcomes in real time. The team is also scaling infrastructure integrations to stop threats earlier in the transaction process, including sequencer and contract-level protections.

Company Profile: From Smart Contract Defense to Full-Stack Security

Founded by Gal Sagie and others, Hypernative has quickly grown into one of the most recognized names in Web3 security. Its platform supports more than 200 customers and helps secure over $100 billion in assets across chains, wallets, protocols, and exchanges.

Notable recent additions to its client base include Aptos, Ethereum, Morpho, Movement, Sonic, Star Atlas, Wintermute, and ZKsync. The company has also doubled its chain coverage in the past year, reaching more than 60 blockchains such as Solana and THORChain.

At the core of its offering is Guardian, a transaction simulation tool that predicts the outcome of every interaction before approval—an increasingly vital feature in a world of complex smart contract exploits.

Who’s Backing the Vision—and Why

The investor lineup in this round brings together major names in cybersecurity and Web3 infrastructure. Ten Eleven Ventures has backed global players such as KnowBe4 and Cylance, while Ballistic Ventures has supported companies like Abnormal Security and Mandiant.

“Hypernative’s cohesive approach to real-time threat detection and response positions it as a foundational player in the future of decentralized ecosystems,” said Mark Hatfield, Co-founder and General Partner at Ten Eleven Ventures.

“What Gal and the Hypernative team have built is not just innovative, it’s foundational to the next era of the internet,” added Barmak Meftah, Co-founder and General Partner at Ballistic Ventures.

Hypernative’s current momentum, combined with rising institutional interest and regulatory clarity in Web3, puts it in a strong position to lead the shift toward safer decentralized systems.
