Iktos, a global leader in AI-driven drug discovery, has secured a €2.5 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator to enhance its AI and robotics synthesis automation platform. With the potential for an additional €5 million, this funding will accelerate Iktos’ goal of transforming drug design by integrating AI-powered molecular generation, automated synthesis, and precise biological testing.
Over the next two years, Iktos will expand its platform, leveraging the 2024 acquisition of Synsight and its proprietary MTBench technology, which enables accurate biological screening of complex targets. The funding will advance the platform’s AI-driven DMTA (design-make-test-analyze) cycle, where AI integrates real experimental data at each iteration, refining predictions and reducing the time required to identify effective drug candidates.
