Infisical, the open-source platform for secrets, identity, and access management, has raised $16 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by prominent tech investor Elad Gil and included participation from Y Combinator, Gradient Ventures (Google), and Dynamic Fund.
Several well-known tech leaders also joined the round as angel investors, including Olivier Pomel (CEO, Datadog), Sanjit Biswas (CEO, Samsara), and Antonio Gracias (CEO, Valor). Infisical has not disclosed its current valuation.
Infisical addresses a growing concern in enterprise security: how to manage API keys, credentials, and access systems efficiently. As infrastructure stacks grow in complexity, secrets management is becoming an essential layer that supports software reliability and data protection.
"Secrets management serves as a critical foundation that connects all infrastructure components within any organization," said Vlad Matsiiako, CEO and co-founder of Infisical. "At Infisical, we've struck the ideal balance between offering an exceptional developer experience and meaningfully advancing organizational security practices."
Although already cash-flow positive, Infisical chose to raise this round to accelerate product development and respond to increasing demand from enterprise customers. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its platform beyond secrets into broader identity and access management features.
In particular, the team will invest in new integrations with cloud providers and infrastructure tools, expand engineering operations in San Francisco and globally, and focus on building security layers tailored for AI agents and workloads.
Founded as an open-source project, Infisical has grown into a trusted platform used by more than 100,000 developers globally. Its customers range from fast-growing startups like Hugging Face to global enterprises such as LG. The platform is downloaded over 40 million times and now secures more than 10 billion secrets per month.
Recent product launches include full PKI, KMS, and SSH access management offerings—bringing the platform closer to a full-stack identity and security infrastructure solution for modern organizations.
Lead investor Elad Gil noted, "Secrets management remains one of the most critical yet underserved areas of enterprise security. Infisical stands out through its unique combination of enterprise-grade security and developer-first experience."
This Series A adds to Infisical’s momentum, further supported by a list of high-profile investors with deep experience in scaling infrastructure tools and SaaS platforms.
