Kustomer has closed a $30 million Series B funding round to fuel its vision of the AI-native future of customer experience. The round was led by Norwest, with continued backing from Battery Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Boldstart Ventures.
This fresh injection of capital comes as Kustomer ramps up its AI product development and expands its platform to meet growing enterprise demand.
Customer service expectations have changed dramatically. Consumers now expect instant, personalized, and consistent experiences across every digital channel. Kustomer positions itself at the center of this shift, offering an AI-native platform designed to move beyond the limitations of traditional helpdesks and single-function chatbots.
“Delivering an incredible customer experience across every channel has never been more important,” said Brad Birnbaum, CEO and co-founder of Kustomer. “AI alone isn’t enough. It has to reach customers and be embedded into the daily workflows of CX teams. That’s what sets Kustomer apart.”
The new funding will be used to build out Kustomer’s AI roadmap and enhance its platform capabilities. In the past year, the company launched two core AI-native tools: AI Agents for Reps and AI Agents for Customers. These products automate manual work, improve agent productivity by over 30%, and resolve up to 40% of customer inquiries across channels like chat, email, voice, and WhatsApp.
The funds will also support greater transparency, accountability, and customization options—allowing brands to deliver CX that aligns with their tone, workflows, and compliance needs.
Kustomer is expanding into international markets with localized support, region-specific go-to-market teams, and tailored solutions to serve global brands. This international push is a key part of the company’s broader scaling strategy.
To further that mission, Kustomer has appointed Anna Fisher as Chief Marketing Officer. Fisher brings deep SaaS experience from companies like Salesforce, Spiff, and ZoomInfo. At Salesforce, she led marketing for major cloud products and played a central role in go-to-market efforts following acquisitions. Now, she’ll lead Kustomer’s global marketing and brand strategy.
Kustomer was founded to move beyond ticketing systems, creating a platform built from the ground up to operationalize AI using real-time data and deep context. The result is a “system of action” rather than just a system of record—capable of executing complex workflows and integrating with back-end systems like CRMs and ERPs.
“Offering a great agentic customer support experience is not just a tooling problem — it’s an infrastructure problem,” said Scott Beechuk, Partner at Norwest. “Kustomer has built the right foundation for this new era of CX: a native system of action with built-in AI workflows, deep context memory, and enterprise-grade scalability.” Beechuk has joined the company’s board of directors as part of Norwest’s investment.
Alongside Norwest, Kustomer’s backers include Battery Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Boldstart Ventures—firms with strong track records in SaaS and enterprise tech.
These firms have supported Kustomer from earlier stages, and their continued participation signals confidence in the company’s product vision and market potential.
