Imagene AI has closed a $23 million Series B funding round, with Oracle Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison leading the investment. The announcement brings Imagene AI’s total capital raised to $45 million to date.
The round also saw continued support from existing backer Aguras Pathology Investments. While the company hasn’t disclosed its valuation, the funding reflects growing investor confidence in its model-driven approach to personalized healthcare.
Imagene AI develops multi-modal foundation models designed to integrate imaging, omics, and clinical data into one dynamic system. These models help researchers and clinicians make more informed decisions at every stage of a patient’s care.
"Imagene AI's ability to unite imaging, omics, and clinical data in a single foundation model is exactly the kind of breakthrough we believe will drive the next generation of drugs and diagnostics," said Larry Ellison, Oracle Chairman and CTO.
With the new capital, Imagene AI plans to grow its product offering, expand its collaborations, and scale adoption of its OI Suite platform. The platform enables both AI and non-AI users to identify biomarkers, explore new indications, and match patients with relevant trials more efficiently.
The company is also continuing to build on strategic partnerships—including its collaboration with Tempus—to develop rapid predictive assays that assist physicians in tailoring treatment plans with greater accuracy.
Founded by Dean Bitan, Imagene AI operates at the intersection of biology and machine learning. Its core infrastructure—a continuously learning orchestration system—processes live streams of clinical and biological data through proprietary foundation and language models.
One of the company’s highlights is its digital pathology foundation model, trained on over 1.5 million biopsy images. This system has shown strong results in real-world scenarios, especially when working with small datasets—a common challenge in the field.
Imagene’s adaptive technology aims to bring more personalization and speed to drug trials, improving outcomes for both researchers and patients.
The Series B funding follows earlier backing from Aguras Pathology Investments. Imagene continues to attract strategic partners in biotech and healthcare to extend its reach and refine its clinical tools.
"We are honored to have the continued support of one of the world's foremost technology visionaries," said Dean Bitan, CEO and Co-founder of Imagene AI. "We're developing the core intelligence that allows precision medicine to function as an adaptive, insight-driven system."
