Multiplier Holdings has emerged from stealth with $27.5 million in combined Seed and Series A funding. The funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with Ribbit Capital—who led the Seed round—EDBI, and SV Angel also participating. The company is on a mission to transform the $6 trillion professional services sector by acquiring boutique firms and upgrading them with custom AI tools.
By embedding its own AI-powered platform into acquired companies, Multiplier aims to improve how services are delivered while addressing the sector’s challenges—like declining labor supply and outdated technology.
Professional services firms, including those in tax, accounting, and specialized advisory, are facing rising demand but struggling to scale due to labor shortages and inefficiencies. Forecasts show segments like tax advisory growing at over 11% annually, yet many firms are constrained by high operational costs and legacy systems.
Multiplier enters the scene with a fresh model: acquire niche, high-performing firms and gradually enhance them with customized AI tools, without disrupting their core operations.
Rather than replacing existing systems or processes overnight, Multiplier works side-by-side with firm staff to build AI solutions that reflect their unique workflows. The goal is to automate repetitive tasks, free up talent, and deliver better outcomes for clients—all without sacrificing firm independence.
“We believe the market will reward players who compete on technology-enabled client service through an integrated platform of people and tech,” said Noah Pepper, CEO of Multiplier Holdings and former Stripe executive. “While our portfolio firms maintain operational independence, we align incentives across all stakeholders—from Multiplier leadership to firm leaders and staff.”
The strategy is already delivering tangible results. Citrine International Tax, one of Multiplier’s early acquisitions, saw its cash flow increase by 2.5x and manual work significantly reduced just eight months after adopting the AI platform. Staff at Citrine also benefited, receiving performance bonuses tied to the efficiency gains.
“When Noah approached us, we saw Multiplier as a unique opportunity to become part of a technology firm and deliver a truly differentiated level of client service,” said Gregory Trotman, founder of Citrine. “The Multiplier team immersed themselves in our workflows and built a custom platform that streamlined everything from onboarding to billing.”
Clients are feeling the impact, too. “Citrine has been a major upgrade compared to prior firms we used,” said Keith Robinson, a U.S. tech investor and London-based Citrine client. “The tools give us more clarity and confidence, and communication has become much smoother.”
Founded by Noah Pepper, formerly of Stripe, Multiplier is building a new category of AI-native professional services. The company does more than provide tools—it becomes a long-term owner of each firm it acquires, helping them evolve into hybrid organizations that blend expertise and automation.
The firm maintains a growing library of proprietary AI and workflow components, which are reconfigured and tailored to each acquired firm’s needs.
The funding was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, a global firm with a portfolio that includes Affirm, Anthropic, Epic Games, and Mistral. Other backers include Ribbit Capital, which led Multiplier’s Seed round, EDBI, and SV Angel.
Justin Overdorff, Partner at Lightspeed, shared his confidence in the approach: “The Multiplier approach—an AI-first software company acquiring existing service firms to compete directly in the services business by using proprietary technology—allows us to elevate the client and staff experience in a radical way.”
