
Jupiter Endovascular has closed an oversubscribed Series B financing round that exceeded its $40 million target. The round was led by Sonder Capital, with participation from Senvest Management, LB Investment, and a new strategic corporate investor. The medical technology startup is developing a new class of endovascular procedures using its proprietary Transforming Fixation (TFX) technology.
The company plans to use the proceeds to complete its ongoing SPIRARE II pivotal clinical trial, prepare for commercialization, and develop new clinical applications for the TFX platform. The funding arrives at a significant moment for Jupiter: the company received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Vertex™ Catheter incorporating TFX last month, and will present first-in-human results from the SPIRARE I trial later this month at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Conference (TCT 2025) in San Francisco.
The TFX platform addresses what many consider one of the most significant challenges in transcatheter interventions: maintaining stability and control while operating in complex cardiovascular anatomies. Jupiter is initially focusing on pulmonary embolism, a condition that affects hundreds of thousands of patients annually.

The funds will primarily support the SPIRARE II trial (NCT06576427), a prospective, single-arm, multicenter pivotal study. The trial will enroll up to 145 patients with acute, intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism treated with the Vertex Pulmonary Embolectomy System at up to 25 sites in the U.S. and Europe. Endpoints will measure safety, right heart function, and clinical improvement from the procedure through 30 days post-procedure.
Results from the earlier SPIRARE I study (NCT06571760) will be presented on October 26 at TCT 2025. That study enrolled 10 subjects with acute, intermediate-risk PE at two European sites. Professor Irene Lang, Principal Investigator and Professor of Vascular Biology at the Medical University of Vienna, will present the findings.
The Vertex system uses Jupiter's TFX platform to provide stability during catheter-based procedures. The device is delivered in a flexible, relaxed state over a guidewire to a target location in the vasculature. It's then rapidly pressurized with saline to fix it in a stable position for intervention. After the procedure, it returns to its relaxed state to navigate to another location or for removal.
This approach is designed to enable interventionalists to treat anatomical sites that are not safely or easily accessible via conventional endovascular approaches. The technology aims to provide stability even in tortuous anatomies while protecting the cardiovascular anatomy.
Jupiter Endovascular is focused on expanding the boundaries of endovascular medicine through its TFX platform technology. The company was founded to address the longstanding challenge of maintaining catheter control during procedures, which has limited the adoption of transcatheter therapies in certain complex cases.
The startup is initially targeting pulmonary embolism but plans to expand into additional high-need cardiovascular applications.
