Mem0, a platform building memory infrastructure for artificial intelligence, has secured $24 million in new financing. This amount includes a Seed round led by Kindred Ventures and a Series A round led by Basis Set Ventures.
The funding also saw participation from Peak XV Partners, GitHub Fund, and Y Combinator. The round attracted strategic investments from prominent technology leaders, including Scott Belsky, Dharmesh Shah, and the CEOs of Datadog, Supabase, PostHog, Weights & Biases, and the former CEO of GitHub.
Despite rapid advancements in AI models, most AI agents suffer from a fundamental flaw: they cannot remember past interactions. Users often find themselves repeating instructions, re-explaining preferences, or watching coding assistants make the same mistakes. This memory gap prevents true personalization and long-term learning. Developers are left spending valuable time building custom memory systems rather than focusing on their core applications, as common workarounds often fail to provide efficient, lasting memory.
Mem0 plans to use the capital to establish its platform as the standard memory solution for AI agents. The goal is to solve the memory problem for all developers.

Mem0 is a San Francisco-based startup founded by Taranjeet Singh, who previously worked with Paytm and Khatabook, and Deshraj Yadav, formerly of Tesla.
The company provides a memory infrastructure that developers can integrate with just three lines of code. The system is designed to store important information from past interactions, intelligently forget outdated or conflicting data, and recall relevant details when needed.
This approach has gained significant traction. The project has over 41,000 GitHub stars and 14 million downloads. Its API call volume grew from 35 million in the first quarter to 186 million in the third quarter of 2025. Thousands of teams, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, now use Mem0. It is also used natively by frameworks like CrewAI, Flowise, and Langflow.
The support for Mem0 extends deep into the developer tool ecosystem. Beyond its primary venture backers, the company was part of Y Combinator. AWS also selected Mem0 as the exclusive memory provider for its Agent SDK, signaling strong confidence in its infrastructure.
