Nauta, an AI-powered logistics orchestration platform for importers, has raised $7 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Construct Capital and Predictive, with participation from prominent angels including Simón Borrero (CEO and co-founder of Rappi), Waikit Lau (founder of RemoteHQ), and Juan Jose Gonzales (CEO of Windmar Energy).
The capital injection will help Nauta expand its AI-driven platform that allows importers to make faster, more informed decisions across fragmented global supply chains.
Despite handling trillions of dollars in goods each year, importers still rely on emails, spreadsheets, and aging systems to coordinate container-level shipments. Industry disruptions—from shifting trade routes to climate-driven events—have only amplified the cracks in the system.
“Supply chains don’t just move goods, they also move data and money,” said Camila Saruhashi, Partner at Construct Capital. “With so many stakeholders and systems involved, Nauta’s AI platform is well-positioned to bring structure and visibility to this vital process, connecting the dots between every node, from manufacturers to ports to warehouses.”
With the fresh capital, Nauta plans to expand its geographic reach beyond the seven countries it currently serves. The company is also focused on hiring across sales and partnerships roles to meet growing customer demand.
Its platform already supports distributors handling well-known brands such as New Balance, Modelo, Moët & Chandon, L'Oréal, and Ashley Furniture HomeStore. Users have reported up to 80% reductions in detention costs, 30% boosts in operator productivity, and 75% faster container processing times.
Nauta was founded by Valentina Jordan, former product and engineering lead at Rappi, and Rafael Santiago, who previously led a top importing logistics firm in the Caribbean. Their shared experience managing high-volume shipments across multiple systems helped shape the company’s operator-first product philosophy.
“Nauta is built by and for operators,” said Jordan. “In logistics, every container tells its own story, but the systems involved rarely speak the same language. With AI, Nauta helps companies make faster, more proactive decisions about every shipment.”
Santiago adds: “Operators deserve modern AI tools that anticipate issues and enable action at the speed of trade.”
Since its Q1 2025 launch, Nauta has focused on enabling importers to own and act on their data. Its platform serves as a single control center that harmonizes siloed information, replacing the manual back-and-forth that typically defines global trade operations.
Alongside Construct Capital and Predictive, the round brought in a group of angel investors with deep logistics, tech, and operational experience. These include Simón Borrero (Rappi), Waikit Lau (RemoteHQ), and Juan Jose Gonzales (Windmar Energy), as well as early customers such as Soriana.
Their interest reflects growing recognition that AI-native tools are no longer optional in logistics—they’re essential.
