AI-driven freight carrier Nevoya has secured $9.3 million in seed funding to scale its zero-emissions operations across the U.S. logistics market. The round was led by Lowercarbon Capital, with additional backing from Floating Point, LMNT Ventures, and returning investors Third Sphere, Stepchange, and Never Lift. Strategic angels such as Qasir Younis, Founder and CEO of Applied Intuition, also participated.

This seed round will help Nevoya expand its AI-native platform, scale operations, and strengthen partnerships with major shippers and 3PLs.

AI and Electrification: A New Path for Freight

The global electric truck market is expected to reach $125 billion by 2030, and Nevoya aims to lead the way with a platform built for this new era. Unlike traditional carriers retrofitting diesel-based systems, Nevoya was created from day one as an electric-first, AI-powered freight operation.

With 61% of logistics leaders prioritizing AI investments, and optimization delivering up to 30% improvements in delivery times, Nevoya's approach is designed to align with rapidly shifting industry expectations.

Funding to Fuel Expansion and Deepen Tech Capabilities

Nevoya plans to use the new capital to grow its geographic reach, targeting high-demand shipping corridors. The company will also double down on the development of its proprietary transportation management system (TMS), which offers predictive tools and real-time visibility for shippers.

The team will grow across engineering, operations, sales, and customer success to support this next stage of expansion, ensuring Nevoya can maintain high service standards while scaling quickly.

Redefining Logistics with Customer-Centric AI

Founded in 2023, Nevoya is led by co-founder and CEO Sami Khan. The company’s technology was built from the ground up to support electric freight fleets and optimize for efficiency at every turn. Their AI-powered TMS streamlines everything from battery management to load balancing, turning complexity into competitive advantage.

"We don't just move freight—we embed ourselves in our customers' operations, uncovering insights that others miss," said Khan. "In just six months, we've onboarded Fortune 500 customers and leading 3PLs, demonstrating to them that zero-emissions freight can be cost-competitive with diesel while delivering superior service reliability."

With a focus on workflow automation and measurable results, Nevoya enables its customers to move from outdated playbooks to a future-ready freight model.

Investors Back a Future-Ready Freight Model

Nevoya’s backers include Lowercarbon Capital, Floating Point, LMNT Ventures, Third Sphere, Stepchange, Never Lift, and Qasir Younis. The strength and range of these investors reflects confidence in Nevoya’s ability to scale AI-powered, electric-first logistics.

"Nevoya is an AI-orchestrated, electric-first freight carrier that's already outperforming legacy diesel trucking economics, and we're betting they'll scale faster too," said Shawn Xu, Partner at Lowercarbon Capital.
