NinjaOne, a leading automated endpoint management platform, has announced $500 million in Series C extensions, bringing its valuation to $5 billion. The funding rounds were led by ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent investment arm, alongside participation from prominent private investors.
The company remains founder-led, with co-founders Sal Sferlazza and Chris Matarese holding majority control over the Board of Directors and the company’s voting power. NinjaOne has achieved this milestone without taking on debt, reinforcing its long-term stability.
As organizations rely more on digital infrastructure, endpoint management has become a critical focus for IT teams. NinjaOne’s platform automates endpoint monitoring, patching, and security across organizations of all sizes, simplifying IT operations.
“At NinjaOne, we are investing in innovation across our platform with a vision to make endpoint and patch management as easy and autonomous as possible,” said Sal Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder. “Endpoints are the backbone of organizations today, and we believe in the coming years, providing products that support the user and their devices will be critical to making our customers successful.”
The newly raised capital will accelerate NinjaOne’s research and development in autonomous endpoint management, automated patching, and security-focused innovations. The company also plans to expand its IT management use cases, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
Additionally, the funding will support NinjaOne’s pending $262 million acquisition of SaaS backup and data protection company Dropsuite, reinforcing its data security capabilities. The investment will also sustain the company’s commitment to customer support, ensuring continued overinvestment in service excellence.
NinjaOne serves over 24,000 customers in more than 120 countries, including major brands like Nvidia, Lyft, Cintas, Vimeo, HelloFresh, The King’s Trust, and Porsche. Over the past year, the company has significantly expanded its capabilities, including:
“NinjaOne has the potential to be a generational company,” said Derek Zanutto, General Partner at CapitalG. “The NinjaOne platform is reimagining what is possible in automated endpoint management while prioritizing results for customers and partners. Coupled with its terrific culture and exceptional leadership team, we find NinjaOne to be one of the strongest IT software companies in the world.”
ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG’s deepened investment signals confidence in NinjaOne’s long-term trajectory. “Sal and Chris developed a sophisticated yet easy-to-use platform at a time when endpoint growth is surging,” said Roy Luo, General Partner at ICONIQ Growth. “This differentiated mindset will ensure their continued success.”
Unlike many private-equity-backed firms that focus on cost-cutting, NinjaOne remains committed to reinvesting in customer value and platform excellence. “Many private equity-funded companies focus on cutting services to increase profits. At NinjaOne, we believe in investing more to provide additional value to our customers,” said Chris Matarese, President and CFO.
