OneBalance has announced the launch of its flagship OneBalance Toolkit along with a $20 million Series A funding round. The round was co-led by cyber•Fund and Blockchain Capital, with participation from Mirana Ventures (Bybit’s investment arm) and L2IV.
This round follows a $5 million Angel and Community round in June 2024, led by cyber•Fund and joined by Consensys, Wintermute, Curved Ventures, Breed VC, Anagram, Credibly Neutral, Cobie, and individual backers from Revolut, LayerZero, WalletConnect, and Lido.
In 2024, stablecoins settled over $15.6 trillion—matching Visa in volume. Onchain tokens now number in the millions, while centralized platforms still offer only a few. Robinhood’s CEO has even called tokenization "the future of finance."
Yet, using blockchain apps still feels like a compromise. Better UX often means giving up security. Custodial wallets become honeypots, while users deal with slippage, bridge friction, and unpredictable gas fees. OneBalance sees this gap as an opportunity to offer seamless, secure, one-click transactions across chains.
The company’s flagship innovation—Resource Locks—addresses these pain points by allowing instant cross-chain transactions without compromising on security. Instead of waiting for finality on the source chain, funds are locked and solvable based on user intent.
This mechanism enables:
“In our years investing in crypto, only a few companies have had the potential to transform how the industry works. OneBalance is one of them," said Spencer Bogart, GP at Blockchain Capital.
At the heart of the offering is the OneBalance Toolkit—an API platform that lets developers create one-click onchain experiences without managing chains, bridges, or gas.
It offers:
Ideal for:
"OneBalance makes wallets and apps 'just work'—exactly what mainstream users expect," said Vasiliy Shapovalov from cyber•Fund.
OneApp, the company's own product built with the Toolkit, shows these capabilities in action, enabling fast, multi-chain token swaps.
OneBalance was founded by Stephane Gosselin (CEO, Flashbots co-founder and ERC1400 author), Daniel Worsley (COO, Flashbots ops lead), and Ankit Chiplunkar (CTO, former Coinbase engineer and aerospace PhD).
The broader team includes veterans from Ethereum Foundation, Aragon, Polygon, RhinoFi, Argent, and Nansen.
