Pascal AI Labs has closed a $3.1 million seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital. The round attracted participation from Norwest, Infoedge Ventures, Antler, and several prominent angel investors.
The Bangalore-based startup builds vertical AI platforms specifically designed for investment research workflows. More than 25 financial firms across the U.S. and Asia-Pacific regions already use Pascal AI's technology, including $2 billion private equity funds and a top-three global asset manager managing over $1 trillion in assets.
Investment teams face an overwhelming challenge: too much data, too few tools that actually understand how investors think. Analysts spend countless hours manually combining SEC filings, earnings transcripts, and internal research notes. Meanwhile, CIOs struggle to maintain a comprehensive, forward-looking view of their portfolios.
"The future of investment management is autonomous investment research," said Vibhav Viswanathan, co-founder and CEO of Pascal AI. "Pascal AI is systematically automating complex investment workflows with the long-term vision of creating a fully autonomous investment research company."
Current platforms can surface information, but they miss something critical. They don't capture the years of proprietary knowledge and judgment that experienced investors develop over time.
The new capital will accelerate product development of Pascal AI's autonomous investment workflows. The company plans to expand into the U.S. market while building strategic data partnerships.
Pascal AI's platform already provides data coverage across more than 16,000 public companies spanning 27 markets. The system uses secure, native connectors that work immediately without complex integration processes. "This funding allows us to accelerate that journey, moving from workflow automation to true autonomy, and giving analysts instant, auditable insights and CIOs a continuously updated view of exposures and performance," Viswanathan explained.
Pascal AI takes a different approach than typical financial data platforms. Rather than simply retrieving information, the system learns from a firm's proprietary investment history. This allows it to reason and act like an experienced investor would.
The company addresses the entire investment lifecycle through automation. By understanding how specific firms make decisions, Pascal AI can provide insights that align with each organization's investment philosophy and risk tolerance.
Financial firms demand absolute security and transparency when adopting AI tools. Pascal AI built its platform on a proprietary Knowledge Graph that makes every action 100% auditable and secure.
The platform includes enterprise-grade security features, role-based permissions, and supports on-premise deployment options. These capabilities provide the comprehensive security framework that high-stakes financial decisions require.
Vibhav Viswanathan and Mithun Madhusudan founded Pascal AI in 2024, bringing complementary expertise in finance, AI, and product scaling. Viswanathan holds a Chicago Booth MBA and previously led AWS Inferentia and Neuron teams in Silicon Valley. He also gained direct investment experience at Capital Group and NEA-IUVP.
Madhusudan graduated from IIM Bangalore and led AI and product teams at Indian tech unicorns Apna and ShareChat. He helped scale AI products that reached over 100 million users during his tenure at these companies.
The founding team's combination of technical AI expertise and real-world investment experience shapes Pascal AI's unique approach to autonomous research workflows.
Kalaari Capital led the funding round based on their conviction that autonomous research platforms represent the future of investment management. These systems combine human judgment with machine intelligence to create scalable solutions.
"At Kalaari, we believe the next decade will see a decisive shift toward autonomous research platforms that can scale human judgment with machine intelligence," said Kalaari Capital Partner Sampath P. "Pascal AI is at the forefront of this transformation — building secure, auditable, and truly agentic workflows that don't just process information, but reason like an investor."
The investor noted Pascal AI's clear vision and strong early traction with global clients as key factors in their investment decision. "What stood out to us was the clarity and conviction with which Vibhav and Mithun are reimagining how private and public market investors and CIOs make decisions," Sampath P added.
Pascal AI operates from headquarters in Bangalore with additional offices in New York and London, serving a global client base of private equity firms, asset managers, and institutional investors.
