PhysicsX, a UK-based company transforming engineering with AI-native tools, has raised $135 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Atomico, with participation from Temasek, Siemens, Applied Materials, and July Fund. Returning investors General Catalyst, NGP, Radius Capital, Standard Investments, and Allen & Co also joined the round.
This new capital brings the company’s total funding to nearly $170 million. PhysicsX plans to use the funds to scale its enterprise software across industries such as aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, and energy—where demand for advanced simulation and accelerated product development is rapidly rising.
Engineering is facing growing complexity, tighter timelines, and critical talent shortages. While AI has redefined many industries, its potential in engineering remains largely untapped. PhysicsX is tackling this head-on with tools that automate, accelerate, and optimize the product lifecycle—from design to deployment.
“The tectonic plates of the whole global economy are being reshaped by industrial manufacturing,” said Jacomo Corbo, CEO and Co-Founder of PhysicsX. “We’re building into that unmet need and bringing new software and AI capabilities to fundamentally overhaul what engineering looks like today and transform how hardware innovation is executed.”
With this fresh injection of capital, PhysicsX plans to continue expanding its team, advance its software platform, and deepen its presence across key global markets. A major focus will be the development of large-scale physics foundation models to power real-world applications in high-stakes sectors.
The company also aims to scale partnerships with advanced manufacturing clients and expand into new geographies where engineering bottlenecks are slowing innovation. Their growth strategy includes reinforcing their engineering and research teams across the UK and US.
Founded by Robin Tuluie (ex-Mercedes F1 and Bentley) and Jacomo Corbo (co-founder of QuantumBlack), PhysicsX is building software that brings deep AI capabilities into every step of the engineering workflow. Its mission is to make advanced manufacturing faster, smarter, and more adaptable to change.
Headquartered in London with a growing team in New York, the company already works with global players in mission-critical sectors—helping them solve problems that were previously too complex for traditional engineering approaches.
PhysicsX has more than quadrupled revenue in the last two years and grown to over 150 team members since its Series A in 2023.
Atomico, known for backing Europe’s most ambitious tech startups, is leading the round. “PhysicsX is unlocking a new engineering paradigm... they’re empowering engineers to solve problems that were previously beyond human intuition,” said Laura Connell, Partner at Atomico.
Other investors include General Catalyst, which backed the company early on. “PhysicsX has significantly scaled their team and solutions to help the world’s advanced industries better design, build, and operate,” said Paul Kwan, Managing Director at General Catalyst.
Siemens’ Peter Koerte emphasized the alignment with their industrial vision: “PhysicsX can drive global transformation in industrial AI while building on Europe’s industrial strength and world-class AI talent pool.”
