Polimorphic, a company helping local governments digitize resident services with AI, announced an $18.6 million Series A round. The funding was led by General Catalyst, with continued support from existing investors M13 and Shine.
The company aims to make government services more accessible and efficient, supporting more than 36 million people across the United States. This new funding will help Polimorphic strengthen its presence in key states and expand its team to meet growing demand.
Many local governments struggle to modernize due to outdated processes and lack of expertise. Only about 20% of the U.S. government’s annual $90 billion IT budget goes toward modernization. At the same time, residents expect the same ease of access they experience in the private sector, but governments often face mounting volumes of repetitive tasks and disconnected systems.
Polimorphic’s AI-driven tools address this gap by letting residents access services 24/7, online, and in over 75 languages, while easing the workload for government employees.
The new funding will allow Polimorphic to enhance its AI platform with advanced features such as agentic AI application reviews, GIS-based resident support, and improved analytics. These additions aim to help governments cut down on manual tasks, streamline workflows, and better serve their constituents.
Additionally, the company plans to triple its sales and engineering teams, boosting its ability to deliver customized solutions to governments of all sizes. Expansion efforts will focus on states like Wisconsin, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, and California.
Founded to support local governments—the frontline of democracy—Polimorphic offers an AI Front Desk, Constituent Relationship Manager, and analytics dashboard tailored to public-sector needs. Their platform reduces voicemails by up to 90%, decreases walk-in requests by 75%, and has already saved over 55,000 working hours for its customers.
CEO and Co-founder Parth Shah emphasized the company’s mission: “With this funding, we’re accelerating our mission to be the AI company for government efficiency, making public service easier, faster, and more human for everyone.”
Polimorphic serves cities, counties, and state agencies nationwide, including Pacifica, CA; Tooele County, UT; Polk County, NC; and Palm Beach, FL.
General Catalyst, the lead investor, sees Polimorphic as positioned to become a foundational platform for state and local governments. “AI is the jet fuel that accelerates this adoption,” said Sreyas Misra, Partner at General Catalyst.
M13’s General Partner Latif Peracha added, “Government inefficiency creates billions of dollars in waste, a problem Polimorphic's solutions are built to solve.”
The company’s existing investors, M13 and Shine, also participated in the Series A, continuing their support for Polimorphic’s vision of efficient, human-centered public service.
