Prudentia Sciences has closed a $20 million Series A funding round led by McKesson Ventures, with participation from SignalFire. Existing backers Iaso Ventures, Virtue, and GV also joined the round. The financing brings the company's total raised to $27 million, building on a $7 million seed round completed in 2024.
The AI-focused platform targets a persistent problem in life sciences dealmaking: the slow, fragmented process of evaluating breakthrough medicines. Pharma companies, biotechs, and financial institutions use Prudentia to accelerate due diligence while maintaining scientific rigor, turning complex clinical data into clear, actionable insights for investment and licensing decisions.
Life sciences transactions involve high stakes. Billions of dollars change hands based on technical assessments that can take months to complete. Traditional diligence processes force pharma teams to choose between speed and thoroughness, while biotechs struggle to present their assets with the clarity investors demand.
"Life sciences dealmaking is inherently complex and time-intensive, with substantial capital and scientific innovation at stake," said Sadiqa Mahmood, Founder and CEO of Prudentia Sciences. "Biotechs struggle to present their assets with clarity and rigor, while pharma teams are forced to balance speed with thorough diligence. Without an intelligent platform to bridge this gap, diligence remains fragmented and high-risk. Prudentia collapses the distance between technical data and strategic conviction, enabling teams to make confident go-or-no-go decisions in a fraction of the time."
The new capital will support several growth initiatives. Prudentia plans to expand its product capabilities and strengthen its intelligence layer for both technical and commercial due diligence. The company will also scale its commercial operations, with a particular focus on entering the Asia-Pacific and European markets.
Beyond geography, the funding supports Prudentia's vision of becoming the central source of truth for life sciences diligence. The platform creates continuously updated records that help business development, investment, and diligence teams align quickly on high-stakes decisions.
Founded by Sadiqa Mahmood, Prudentia Sciences developed an AI-native system that orchestrates collaboration between buyers, sellers, and intermediaries. The human-in-the-loop approach ensures that AI augments rather than replaces expert judgment, maintaining the security and compliance standards required for sensitive investment decisions.
The platform synthesizes clinical signals and translates them into insights that accelerate deal throughput. Teams gain strategic leverage for acquisition, licensing, or investment decisions without sacrificing the depth of analysis that complex scientific assets require. Prudentia's AI operates with full explainability, allowing users to trace how conclusions are reached.
What sets the company apart is its focus on reducing friction in a traditionally siloed process. Instead of passing information through multiple systems and stakeholders, Prudentia creates a unified workspace where all parties can access the same data and analysis in real time.
McKesson Ventures led the round based on Prudentia's potential to modernize how life sciences organizations evaluate assets and manage risk. The platform addresses inefficiencies that have long plagued an industry where deals frequently stall due to information asymmetry and slow analysis cycles.
"Prudentia is modernizing the way life sciences organizations harness data to evaluate assets and proactively manage risk," said Dave Schulte, President, McKesson Ventures. "Their AI-native platform accelerates scientific due diligence with real-time insights, seamless integration, and intelligent automation - transforming a traditionally fragmented process into a connected, agile, and future-ready workflow."
SignalFire joined as a new investor, while Iaso Ventures, Virtue, and GV renewed their backing. The investor syndicate brings expertise across healthcare, technology, and venture capital, positioning Prudentia to navigate both the scientific and commercial dimensions of its market.
