Brazil’s QI Tech has raised $63 million in fresh funding, with General Atlantic once again leading the round. The capital injection is part of a Series B extension and brings renewed backing from Across Capital, marking its fourth consecutive investment in the fintech. The raise strengthens QI Tech’s cash position as it looks to deepen its product offerings and pursue strategic acquisitions.
General Atlantic had previously led QI Tech’s $200 million Series B round in 2023, which enabled the acquisition of brokerage firm Singulare. With this extension, the company further consolidates its role as a major infrastructure player in Brazil’s financial services sector.
QI Tech operates at the core of Brazil’s rapidly evolving digital financial infrastructure. The company builds full-stack financial solutions for a broad mix of clients, including tech platforms, fintechs, and large enterprises.
"This new investment enhances our ability to accelerate the development of solutions aimed at modernizing Brazil's financial infrastructure," said Pedro Mac Dowell, CEO and founder of QI Tech. “We remain focused on expanding our portfolio with reliability, compliance, and scalability.”
With the new funds, QI Tech plans to accelerate the rollout of new client-facing solutions while also doubling down on its acquisition strategy. In recent years, the company has acquired key players including anti-fraud platform Zaig (2021), brokerage Singulare (2023), and Builders Bank (2023), a white-label banking solution.
These acquisitions have positioned QI Tech to scale operations and enhance service offerings. The company now processes over 20 million anti-fraud checks monthly and has validated more than 90 million user registrations. Its infrastructure currently protects around $13 million in potentially fraudulent transactions each month.
As part of its product expansion, QI Tech has launched an insurance-as-a-service platform, which has already issued over $27 million in premiums in just six months. This volume surpasses that of all insurtechs involved in SUSEP's regulatory sandbox initiative.
Next on the roadmap is a digital-first foreign exchange solution aimed at streamlining international transactions. The service will bypass traditional systems like SWIFT, offering clients a faster and fully automated FX process.
QI Tech has built financial infrastructure for over 400 clients, including brands such as Shopee, 99, and QuintoAndar. It offers these companies embedded finance tools and custom-built solutions, combining deep regulatory knowledge with scalable API-driven technology.
The recent launch of QI Fatura—a Pix-based installment payment platform—showcases the company's ability to execute ahead of market trends. The product was released before Brazil's official Pix Parcelado initiative, demonstrating QI Tech’s agility in bringing ideas to market.
Founded in 2018, QI Tech has quickly grown into a core infrastructure provider for Brazil’s financial ecosystem. Its API-first platform powers a full range of services—from payments and lending to investments and insurance.
The company’s strong governance, regulatory licenses, and operational maturity continue to appeal to institutional investors. With $25 billion in assets under management and $17 billion in FIDC assets under custody—per Anbima’s July 2025 ranking—QI Tech is now the largest custodian of private credit funds in Brazil.
General Atlantic’s continued participation underscores its long-term confidence in QI Tech's business model. Across Capital also returned for this round, extending a funding relationship that spans four investments. These backers provide more than capital—they bring strategic insight as QI Tech scales across Brazil and Latin America.
