Qogita Secures €80M in Series B Funding to Revolutionize Wholesale Procurement

Seamless one-stop-shop system emerges for innumerable small and medium retailers a substantial boost for economic growth
December 19, 2023

In the ever-evolving landscape of small and medium-sized retail, the challenges of sourcing products at competitive prices loom large. Qogita, a London-based platform, aims to transform this landscape by streamlining wholesale procurement, offering a seamless experience akin to shopping on Amazon.

Qogita recently raised an impressive €80 million in a Series B funding round led by Dawn Capital, along with participation from previous investors AccelLocalGlobe, and Bessemer Venture Partners. This funding brings Qogita's total raised capital to €119 million, fueling its mission to simplify procurement for small and medium retailers.

Established in Amsterdam in 2021, Qogita has swiftly become a significant player in wholesale procurement. Focused on the health and beauty sector, the platform acts as a one-stop-shop, offering branded products at competitive prices. Its goal is to eliminate the complexities faced by small e-commerce businesses, allowing retailers to concentrate on brand growth.

The platform connects buyers and sellers, primarily catering to small to medium-sized retailers. Qogita simplifies the procurement process by identifying the best prices for each product, managing the entire purchase process, including shipping and delivery. A key feature is its algorithm-based allocation system, ensuring optimal matches between buyers and sellers for cost efficiency, quality, and expedited delivery.

Over the past two years, Qogita has automated and simplified the sourcing process, providing small and medium-sized businesses access to products and prices typically reserved for larger enterprises. The platform's buy-now-pay-later feature assists buyers in managing upfront payments, fostering business growth.

Investors, including Dawn Capital, Accel, LocalGlobe, and Bessemer Venture Partners, recognize Qogita's potential to transform the e-commerce market. Luca Bocchio from Accel emphasizes the opportunity for Qogita to become the digital enabler of the entire B2B wholesale market in Europe. George Henry from LocalGlobe praises Qogita's elegant solution, predicting its pivotal role in addressing procurement challenges for retailers, both physical and digital.

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, Qogita stands as a beacon of innovation, offering a comprehensive platform to reshape the future of wholesale procurement. As it secures significant funding, the company is poised to lead the charge in revolutionizing the way small and medium-sized retailers navigate the complexities of procurement in the e-commerce market.
