Financial AI startup Rogo has secured a $50 million Series B round led by Thrive Capital. New investors J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Tiger Global, and Positive Sum Ventures also joined the round, alongside returning backers Khosla Ventures, BoxGroup, and AlleyCorp. This latest round brings Rogo's total funding to $75 million.
The New York-based company is building what it calls "Wall Street's first AI analyst" — developing large language models purpose-built for the complexities of high finance. While current models show promise in automating routine tasks, Rogo aims to go far beyond that, creating AI that thinks and reasons like top-tier analysts.
Rogo operates in a market where general-purpose AI tools often fall short. The finance sector requires precision, domain expertise, and rigorous security protocols—areas where Rogo focuses heavily. Instead of offering off-the-shelf solutions, Rogo builds bespoke deployments tailored to the specific needs of each client.
That client list already includes major names like Lazard, Moelis, GTCR, Tiger Global, Raymond James, Nomura, and Siris Capital. These institutions use Rogo’s tools to identify opportunities, process market data rapidly, and allow human advisors to spend more time on strategic work.
“Our strategic integration of Rogo is going to transform how we deliver value to clients," said Patrice Maffre, International Head of Investment Banking at Nomura. "Rogo enables our teams to analyze market data and identify opportunities with unprecedented speed and precision."
With the new funding, Rogo plans to deepen investment in next-generation financial reasoning models and autonomous agents. The company is also focusing on enhancing the security and reliability of its AI systems, an essential requirement for working with high-stakes financial institutions.
The team is also growing. Rogo’s hiring efforts are focused on elite AI talent and financial experts, continuing its model of maintaining a small, high-performing team. The current team includes former Gemini AI researchers, Citadel quants, and Blackstone investors.
Founded with the bold mission of replicating the thinking of Wall Street’s sharpest minds, Rogo blends technical depth with sector-specific experience. The company believes that AI in finance isn't about automating simple tasks—it’s about enabling new levels of insight, speed, and strategic thinking.
While still early in its journey, Rogo’s results with existing clients have already shown substantial promise. Every deployment sharpens the model further, thanks to feedback from top-tier financial institutions that help fine-tune performance in real-world conditions.
In addition to Thrive Capital, new backers include J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Tiger Global, and Patrick O’Shaughnessy’s Positive Sum Ventures. Returning investors include Khosla Ventures, BoxGroup, and AlleyCorp.
