SafetyCulture Revolutionizes Workplace Support for UK Frontline Heroes

The tech powerhouse with its UK hub in Manchester, has just unleashed a edition of its workplace operations platform

SafetyCulture, the global tech company with its UK headquarters in Manchester, has unveiled a game-changing version of its workplace operations platform. This platform, already embraced by over 17,000 UK businesses, is set to redefine how frontline workers operate and enhance productivity.

SafetyCulture is poised for tremendous growth with its Manchester expansion, building upon its extensive client portfolio in the UK, which includes prestigious organizations like the NHS, National Grid, British Airways, American Golf, DHL, and local champions such as Transport for Greater Manchester.

In a world where technology investment has primarily centered on office-based roles, SafetyCulture is disrupting the status quo. Their new platform caters to frontline workers, who represent a staggering 80% of the global workforce, yet have been underserved in the tech arena.

The revamped, mobile-first platform, renowned for its inspection capabilities, now boasts an array of features spanning training and asset management. It introduces groundbreaking tools that convert paper-based documents into digital forms using photos and transforms work instructions and equipment manuals, enabling on-the-go training. Moreover, AI is harnessed to create customized training and inspection templates within minutes.

Feico Mol, General Manager EMEA at SafetyCulture, emphasizes the transformational potential of these changes: “Our aim is to enhance the way people work. These platform enhancements are designed to revolutionize everyday tasks, eliminating the need to juggle multiple systems, apps, or antiquated paper procedures. This marks the most significant update to our products since our inception in 2012. We've infused our platform with maximum value and invested heavily in research and product development. With the right tools and streamlined communications, businesses can unlock the untapped potential of their frontline teams and achieve substantial cost savings.”

Originally founded in Australia, SafetyCulture recently achieved a valuation of over £1.38 billion. Its EMEA sector is flourishing, serving over 150,000 UK workers. The company's mission includes an expansion of its UK operations, with the ambitious goal of reaching more than 100 million deskless workers worldwide by 2032.

In conjunction with the platform's launch, SafetyCulture has published new research that delves into the experiences of the UK frontline workforce. The study reveals that 60% of frontline workers prefer using a single app or platform to complete their work tasks, with 41% expressing excitement about emerging technologies, including AI.

The research also underscores that frontline workers overwhelmingly believe the best ideas for improvement emerge from their own ranks (55%) rather than from leadership (19%). Shockingly, a staggering 81% of UK frontline workers believe their companies are not currently operating at their full potential.
