Sedai, the company behind the self-driving cloud™, has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round to accelerate its vision of autonomous cloud operations. The round was led by AVP (Atlantic Vantage Point), with additional participation from Norwest, Sierra Ventures, and Uncorrelated Ventures.
With this funding, Sedai plans to expand its AI agent–driven platform, which replaces manual cloud operations with intelligent systems capable of acting in real time. The platform is already deployed in large-scale production environments and has saved enterprise customers millions in cloud costs.
As enterprises look beyond dashboards and alerts, Sedai is positioning itself at the forefront of infrastructure automation. The platform has already completed over 25 million autonomous actions across $3 billion in cloud spend, helping organizations reclaim over 22,000 engineering hours — with zero reported incidents.
“Just like Waymo proved that self-driving cars are possible, Sedai proves that self-driving infrastructure is not only possible, it’s necessary,” said Suresh Mathew, CEO and Founder of Sedai.
The new capital will be used to advance Sedai’s product capabilities, including upcoming features such as self-tuning for LLM applications, autonomous GPU optimization, and orchestration for platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
Additionally, the company is scaling its go-to-market efforts with key hires, including newly appointed Chief Revenue Officer Vaneet Bhaskar. Sedai reported 7X revenue growth in 2024, fueled by Fortune 500 adoption and a 92% proof-of-concept to customer conversion rate.
Founded by Suresh Mathew, Sedai connects with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to autonomously manage compute, storage, and traffic. Its patented AI agents learn and act within each environment, beginning in observation mode and gradually moving to full automation as user trust grows.
The platform includes smart scaling, self-healing, and continuous optimization. Users have seen up to 65% cost savings on Kubernetes and dramatic performance boosts — all orchestrated by Sedai’s proprietary Decision Engine, which integrates anomaly detection, seasonality modeling, and causal inference.
Sedai supports sectors like cybersecurity, financial services, education, and pharmaceuticals. It’s trusted by companies like Palo Alto Networks, Experian, and McGraw Hill for managing production systems and high-complexity ML workloads.
AVP, Norwest, Sierra Ventures, and Uncorrelated Ventures join the Series B round, adding to Sedai’s momentum in enterprise AI infrastructure. AVP General Partner Manish Agarwal commented, “What enterprises really need is a way to optimize their cloud environment in real time. Our view is that AI agents are uniquely positioned to address this need, and Sedai fits squarely into that thesis.”
Tim Guleri, Managing Partner at Sierra Ventures, added, “It’s the first AI system we’ve seen that turns cloud infrastructure into a competitive advantage, not a cost center.”
