Surveily Gets €2.5M to Grow Edge AI for Industry

Key Points
  • Surveily has raised a €2.5M Series A led by Momenta and Look AI Ventures to scale its edge AI safety platform across global industrial operations.
  • The company's AI system connects to existing CCTV cameras, runs entirely on-premises, and detects workplace hazards in real time without cloud dependency.
  • Deployments across chemical, energy, and logistics facilities show up to an 8x increase in near-miss reporting and a 62% reduction in incidents.

Surveily, an edge AI company based in Wrocław, Poland, has closed a €2.5 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Momenta, an industrial-focused venture capital firm, with participation from Look AI Ventures, a Czech AI investment fund. A second close from a Polish investment fund is anticipated.

The company builds AI-powered safety systems that run directly on-site, without relying on cloud infrastructure. Its technology connects to existing CCTV cameras and uses computer vision to detect hazardous behavior in real time.

Turning Safety from Reactive to Proactive

Industrial workplaces are overdue for a safety upgrade. More than 7 million workplace injuries occur globally each year, yet most safety systems still depend on manual supervision, periodic audits, and after-the-fact reporting. That model was built for a slower, simpler era of industrial operations.

Surveily addresses this directly. Rather than replacing existing infrastructure, its edge AI platform integrates with the cameras already installed on-site, analyzing video locally, detecting risks as they happen, and sending immediate alerts to safety teams. The system is compatible with over 98% of legacy camera systems and can operate entirely offline, which matters in environments where data sovereignty is non-negotiable.

What the Numbers Show

The platform's deployments in high-risk sectors produce measurable results. In chemical facilities, near-miss reporting has increased eightfold. In metal manufacturing, total safety alerts have dropped by 90%. In oil and gas, PPE compliance stands at 95%. In logistics centers, incident rates have fallen by 62%.

These are not minor improvements. They translate to fewer injuries, lower liability exposure, and better operational continuity.

"Our mission is to embed intelligence directly into industrial safety systems," said Wojciech Tubek, CEO and Co-Founder of Surveily. "By applying edge AI to existing infrastructure, we enable EHS teams to detect risks in real time, intervene before incidents occur, and fundamentally improve safety operation plans. That shift turns safety from reactive damage control to proactive prevention."

Expanding Into New Markets

The €2.5 million Series A will fund product development and international growth, with the United States identified as a primary expansion market. Surveily's platform already serves clients across chemical, metals, energy, logistics, and oil and gas operations. The new capital will support the company's ability to scale those deployments and enter new geographies.

The investment also accelerates Surveily's work on the technical capabilities that make its system stand apart: full on-premises operation, offline functionality, and the ability to avoid cloud dependency entirely. These are practical requirements in many industrial settings where latency, security, or regulatory constraints make cloud-based systems impractical.

Founded in Wrocław, Built for Industrial Reality

Surveily was founded in 2019 by Wojciech Tubek and Wojciech Turowicz. The company has built its platform specifically around the constraints of industrial environments: legacy hardware, noisy conditions, and safety requirements that leave no margin for system downtime.

The product's edge-native architecture means it can be deployed quickly, maintained on-site, and adapted to specific operational contexts without heavy integration work. That practicality has helped Surveily gain traction across some of the more demanding sectors in industrial operations.

Recognition has followed. Surveily has been acknowledged by SAP.iO Industry Munich, NVIDIA GTC, and MC Switzerland. In 2025, Deloitte and Google Cloud recognized the company with the Central Europe GenAI Value Driver Award.

Investors Back a Platform Built for the Real World

Momenta is the lead investor in this round. The firm focuses on industrial innovation across energy, manufacturing, smart spaces, and supply chain, and has been ranked among the world's top ten digital industry venture funds by PitchBook for both 2023 and 2024.

Look AI Ventures, based in Prague, is the first Czech fund investing exclusively in early-stage AI startups. Founded in 2022 on the foundation of the AI Startup Incubator, the firm brings both capital and hands-on technical support to portfolio companies.

"We invested in Surveily because their edge AI shifts the mindset, from safety as compliance overhead to safety as operational opportunity," said Miroslav Kriz, Principal Partner at Momenta. "The platform is built, deployed, and maintained to meet the realities of industrial environments. That combination of practicality and performance defines Industrial Impact."

"What stood out to us about Surveily is how effectively they leverage advanced AI-powered video analytics to improve industrial safety, achieving very high accuracy," said Martin Dostál, Partner at Look AI Ventures. "Their core differentiator is a modular, edge-native architecture that enables 100% on-premises deployment while ensuring data privacy and low-latency response without cloud dependence, a key advantage in industrial operations."
