Vitalchat, a provider of AI-driven virtual nursing and telehealth solutions, has secured $6 million in a Series A funding round led by Green Harvest Capital Industries (GHC Industries). This investment aims to enhance Vitalchat’s ability to address staffing shortages and improve efficiency in inpatient care through AI-powered virtual engagement. Ankit Patel, CEO of GHC Industries, will join the company’s board, with Saagar Parikh taking on a Board Observer role.
The healthcare industry is facing worsening workforce shortages, increasing patient acuity, and regulatory changes that support digital care adoption. Despite an estimated $2 billion addressable market for inpatient virtual care, less than 5% of hospital beds are equipped with video-enabled monitoring solutions.
“Doctors and nurses enter the profession to heal, comfort, and care—not to be overwhelmed by paperwork or stretched thin due to staffing shortages,” said Michael Raymer, CEO of Vitalchat. “This funding enables us to scale our in-patient virtual care platform, allowing more health systems to give their care teams the time and focus to do what they love—connecting with patients and making a real difference in their lives.”
The $6 million investment will be used to accelerate product development, expand market reach, and enhance AI-driven clinical workflows. Vitalchat’s technology offers real-time patient monitoring, remote procedural support, and automated workflow optimizations, reducing administrative burdens on healthcare teams.
By leveraging a cloud-native SaaS platform, Vitalchat eliminates the need for additional hardware, making telehealth adoption more accessible and cost-effective for hospitals. The company’s solutions are already deployed in over 35 hospitals, spanning medical-surgical units, ICUs, operating rooms, and post-acute care facilities.
Founded in 2021, Vitalchat has rapidly gained traction for its ability to integrate with existing hospital infrastructure. The platform provides AI-powered virtual sitters for patient safety monitoring, real-time procedural support, and automated workflow management to enhance nursing efficiency.
With this funding, Vitalchat is set to deepen its AI integration, further refining predictive analytics and automation capabilities to streamline healthcare operations.
GHC Industries, a division of Green Harvest Capital, has been actively expanding its healthcare investments. This marks GHC’s third major healthcare investment following its acquisitions of Re-sources and Medical Equipment Source.
“Healthcare systems are under immense pressure from staffing shortages and clinician burnout,” said Ankit Patel, CEO of GHC Industries. “Vitalchat not only helps hospitals optimize resources and support care teams, but it also strengthens the human interaction between patients, providers, and families.”
