Synthio Labs, a clinical-grade voice AI company focused on transforming how life sciences organizations engage with clinicians and patients, has successfully closed a $5 million seed funding round. The investment will help the company scale its unique AI operating system across new markets.
Elevation Capital led the seed round. Notable participants included 1984 Ventures, Peak XV Partners, and Y Combinator. They were joined by several strategic angel investors from the global healthcare and artificial intelligence community.
Pharma companies spend over $30 billion annually trying to connect with doctors and patients, but the communication process often remains manual and slow. Much of the outreach is fragmented, difficult to coordinate, and cannot easily scale. The urgency for digital solutions is clear: the global market for AI voice agents in healthcare was valued at USD 468.00 million in 2024 and is projected to grow dramatically to over $3.1 billion by 2030.
Doctors are frequently overwhelmed with too much information, and many patients, especially those with long-term illnesses, lack regular support. This lack of consistent engagement can result in treatment drop-off rates sometimes reaching 50%. Synthio Labs addresses this issue by using compliant, real-time Voice AI. This solution is designed to deliver clear, accurate medical information instantly to every doctor and patient. This approach can support pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers globally, particularly in chronic care management and large patient support programs.
Krishna Mehra, AI Partner at Elevation Capital, shared his view: "We believe Synthio Labs is defining the next major Customer Engagement infrastructure for Life Sciences. Their Clinical-grade Voice AI platform unifies how pharma communicates - giving field teams a powerful voice companion, and giving physicians and patients instant, trusted, compliant answers 24/7. Pharma’s global Commercial and GTM footprint is a trillion-dollar machine ripe for reinvention, and Synthio has exactly the right team to deliver on this mission."
Synthio Labs plans to use the new capital to significantly expand its engineering and product development teams. This growth will focus on making its AI platform more robust and versatile for the complex life sciences industry.
The funding will also support scaling enterprise deployments across the U.S. and Europe. Synthio’s goal is to deepen its existing client partnerships and establish AI-driven engagement as the new standard for how pharma teams support clinicians and patients globally.
Synthio Labs was founded by Supreet Deshpande, Sahitya Sridhar, and Rajashekar Vasantha. The India-origin team brings deep academic and professional roots from both India and the United States.
The founders share a strong mix of experience, spanning pharma strategy and advanced AI engineering. Prior to Synthio, the team held leadership roles at McKinsey, ZS Associates, Amazon, and Audible, where they managed large-scale commercial programs for life sciences firms and played key roles in developing foundational language models and multi-agent voice systems.
Synthio's core offering, an AI Operating System, includes three platforms: Jarvis (a Voice AI copilot for field teams), Ather (the multimodal AI engine for engaging physicians and patients), and Simulation Studio (an insight platform that generates digital twins for research). These tools allow life sciences teams to automate compliant interactions, gather structured intelligence, and provide consistent, quality experiences to users.
Sahitya Sridhar, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, said, “We’re designing products that make every conversation between pharma and their customers smarter, faster, and more meaningful. Healthcare is moving into a world of abundance. Our view is simple: bring consumer-grade experiences to pharma and empower the people delivering care.”
Early adopters of Synthio's technology already include several of the Top 10 Pharma Companies and notable D2C healthcare brands. These organizations are using the Voice AI solution to significantly change physician and patient engagement for the better.
Rafal Pielak, Founder and CEO of Soteri Skin, spoke highly of the results: “It’s been a pleasure working with the Synthio Labs team. They built a voice AI agent that engaged thousands of eczema patients, completing 5,000 calls in just two days. The agent supported onboarding, screening, and patient assistance end-to-end, fully automating our feedback and review collection. We’re very happy with the results and look forward to working together again.”
Reflecting on the broader mission, Supreet Deshpande, Co-founder and CEO, commented: “Beyond breakthrough medicines, the future of healthcare will depend on how we reach and support every clinician and patient who relies on them.” Rajashekar Vasantha, Co-founder and CTO, added: “At Synthio, we’re building the AI infrastructure that makes that possible - intelligently, compliantly, and at scale.”
Elevation Capital led the seed round, demonstrating strong confidence in Synthio’s vision for the life sciences space.
The investment is backed by deep operational knowledge, particularly from Lead Investor Krishna Mehra, AI Partner at Elevation Capital. Mehra’s prior experience includes leading engineering for messaging ads at Meta, driving billions in revenue with AI-driven products, following his success as a two-time founder of tech companies (Capillary Technologies and Taro). The investment group includes 1984 Ventures, Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, and several key angel investors.
