ZeroQs: Queue-Free Shopping Startup Raises €457K

Transforming the retail landscape, Polish startup ZeroQs is rewriting the rules with its innovative smart shopping carts

Unlocking the secrets of consumer behavior has long been the holy grail of retail, with personalized shopping experiences driving customer satisfaction. While e-commerce has excelled in this arena, brick-and-mortar stores face challenges. However, a pioneering Polish startup, ZeroQs, is rewriting the rules with its innovative smart shopping carts, aiming to revolutionize the in-store shopping journey.

In a landmark development, ZeroQs has secured €457k (PLN 2 million) in funding from Polish venture capital fund Freya Capital, marking a significant milestone in its journey. This injection of capital will fuel the further development of ZeroQs' smart shopping cart technology and accelerate its expansion efforts, both locally and internationally.

Founded in 2018 by Jarosław Kaczmarczyk and Tomasz Brulinski in Warsaw, ZeroQs introduces a game-changing solution to tackle the checkout queues plaguing traditional retail stores. Their smart shopping carts, armed with cutting-edge technology including weighing systems, barcode readers, and touchscreens, streamline the shopping process, making it seamless and efficient.

ZeroQs' smart carts empower customers to bypass lengthy queues by automatically scanning items as they're added to the cart and computing the total payment upon exiting the store. This not only elevates the shopper experience but also reduces operational costs for retail chains by minimizing errors and theft.

With their carts already deployed in prominent retail chains such as Społem and Detal Centrum, ZeroQs is eyeing further expansion. Talks with leading retailers from Poland and Europe underscore the startup's growing presence in the market. Looking ahead, ZeroQs CEO Jarosław Kaczmarczyk emphasizes the company's commitment to advancing their technology and expanding into neighboring markets, fueled by the recent funding infusion.

ZeroQs' journey epitomizes innovation in the retail sector, with its smart shopping carts poised to redefine the shopping experience. As consumer preferences continue to evolve, ZeroQs stands at the forefront, driving change and enhancing customer satisfaction. With the backing of Freya Capital and a clear vision for the future, ZeroQs is set to reshape the retail landscape, one smart cart at a time.
