Mjuk secures €2.5M to tackle furniture waste and offer affordable prices

Their mission is to make sustainable furniture choices as convenient as possible

Mjuk, the Finnish furniture re-commerce shop, secures €2.5 million, with investors including Trind VC, Alliance VC, Superhero Capital, Lifeline Ventures, and angel investors. Mjuk plans to grow sustainably while building a strong brand presence.

Mjuk's journey began hands-on, with founders Max Heino and Rickard Zilliacus buying, refurbishing, and selling second-hand furniture. They launched officially in 2019 and have seen impressive 100% revenue growth annually, reaching €3 million in 2022.

Furniture waste is a global issue, with millions of tons discarded or incinerated yearly. Mjuk contributes to environmental preservation by giving quality furniture a second life.

Mjuk collaborates not only with consumers but also with retailers, real estate firms, and manufacturers to reduce furniture waste. They offer end-to-end services, from collection and marketing to sales and delivery. With their latest funding, Mjuk plans to expand further in Finland and Sweden, aiming to become Europe's leading quality furniture re-commerce platform.
