With participation from Viola Ventures and Pitango, Volumez raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Koch Disruptive Technologies. Through the funding, the company plans to expand its business operations and customer base in the U.S. while continuing its research and development in Israel.

With 36 employees in Israel and the U.S., Volumez develops controller orchestration software that uses Linux for the efficient execution of modern data infrastructure workloads. The software features a declarative interface that simplifies the deployment of applications in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Amir Faintuch, former Senior VP and General Manager of Platform Engineering at Intel, is Volumez's CEO.
By using a controller-less architecture, the company created a direct Linux data path between media and applications, reducing latency and scalability issues and achieving consistently high performance and resilience. Due to the widespread adoption of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning systems across industries, this solution addresses the challenge businesses face in converting knowledge into intelligence quickly, easily, and at scale.
